Soprano's. Not even close.

Give Showtime's, "Billions" a watch. It's addicting. Also, its actually cool to see Paul Giamadi play a sinister character with power.

Ian McShane. Good Lord if this guy didn't get an award for this role, "criminal." McShane & This Swerengen Character reason enough alone to have kept this series going. Hella lotta interesting History of that Era and Locale, left to explore.

What I liked about Deadwood and found Unique is that so many of the characters were up to "some shit." Seems like most everyone had Mad Drama going on, of some type. Uniquely Vast, that canvas that was Deadwood.

Ian McShane will appear in a Primary Role in a New TV Series set to premiere in April 2017 on the network Starz.

The Premise (overall beginning Plot Description) IMO contains too many Spoilers, Give-A-ways that would spoil the viewing of the show which would IMO Suck I think guys should just wait and watch the show, the Premise of it is "Crazy" as in: "out there" conceptually. Interesting though I don't personally expect the show to be a success

just based sheerly on the idea, the premise of the series: I could easily be wrong, real possibly be totally wrong on this prognostication of failure.

It could work.

Not even gonna put the Title of the show here cuz totally just watching without knowing anything about such a concept for a series = much much more enjoyable. Drama. Let it unfold. Its only 2 or so months away.

McShane should handle his role well though, IMO. Success or Failure of this Show Idea.

David Milch, from 2004 to 2006, produced Deadwood, a dramatic series for HBO. Milch served as creator, writer, and executive producer. The series ended in 2006 after three seasons. There were plans for two feature-length movies to conclude the series, but after many rumors, star Ian McShane has said the sets have been struck and the films are highly unlikely to be produced.

Milch Co-Created NYPD Blue with Steven Bochco. Milch got kicked out of Yale Law School for shooting out a Police Siren with a shotgun. During the filming of NYPD Blue, he suffered a heart attack while arguing with actor David Caruso over the script.

In January 2010, Milch announced that he was developing a new drama for HBO entitled Luck, based around the culture of horse racing. Michael Mann directed the pilot[SUP][9][/SUP] and Dustin Hoffman was cast in the lead role.[SUP][10][/SUP]

HBO picked up the series on July 14, 2010. The series ceased production after three horse deaths on set, having aired one season.

David Milch, The mind behind Deadwood has multiple other projects since the 2006 wrap of Deadwood but nothing took off.

Gawdang, Ian McShane has been a well-known actor for exactly 50 Years.

Coming to popularity in Wuthering Heights, British TV Series 1967

he's been acting for 55 Years. Since 1962. He is 74 Years Old

No wonder he's "pretty good" at acting.

He also recorded an album:

He was pretty Serious there, with that singing.

His Father, Harry McShane, was a Professional Soccer Player who began his professional career with Blackburn Rovers, and after the Second World War he turned out for Huddersfield Town, Bolton Wanderers, Manchester United, Oldham Athletic, Chorley, Wellington Town, and Droylsden. He scored 20 goals in 207 league games in the Football League, and won the First Division title with Manchester United in 1951–52. He worked at Old Trafford after his retirement, spending a period as the stadium's announcer.

In the United Kingdom, Ian McShane's best known role may be antiques dealer Lovejoy in the series of the same name.[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP] He also enjoyed fame in the United States as British film director Don Lockwood in Dallas and as a British cockfighting aficionado in Roots. Even before Lovejoy, McShane was a pin-up as a result of appearances in television series, such as Wuthering Heights (1967, as Heathcliff), If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium (1969, as Charlie), Jesus of Nazareth (1977, as Judas Iscariot), and Disraeli (1978)—as well as films like Sky West and Crooked (1965) and Battle of Britain (1969).

A Bunch of Other stuff.

McShane has been married to actress Gwen Humble for 35 Years, they live in Venice Beach CA and London

Since 2010, McShane has narrated the opening teases for each round of ESPN's coverage of The Open Championship.

'Pologize for the Romantic plod that the choice of LadyGaga song by the producer of this Vid rains down on this but it shows McShane throughout his 50 Year career so worth enduring Gaga and one can always Mute it if its just too much. Great Retrospective of an awesome and Uniquely Long career. 55 Years, jeezus.

Luck was a great show but, like Rubicon and Deadwood, got pulled before it could put the full story together. He used a lot of Deadwood cast members and wrote it in the same style so if you love Deadwood dialogue then check out Luck.

Milch about the biggest horse gambler of all time ... and this show was going to expose a lot of the corruption in the industry until PETA got it pulled. Was still great to see how trainers and owners would manipulate future odds on a horse

Can't say Dustin Hoffman is the most convincing Jewish mob guy of all time but it was a hell of a good show.
