certainly was not robbed...was an incredibly close fight. Holloway absolutely won 1 and 2, Volk dominated 5th, so came down to judging 3rd and 4th. I had 3rd a solid Volk round and 4th a narrow Volk round so in the 10 point must system it's a 48-47 Volk win.
But if it was judging whole fight and not round by round I'd have given Holloway the win as he was THAT much better in 1 and 2 (but not 10-8 worthy) and only narrowly lost 4. Judges got it right...3 rounds Volk, 2 for Max...but over 25' Max was superior
I thought that Holloway won the fight - pretty decisively - sports yahoo had him 49-46 - and Dana White was complaining about it - the fights should be judged from video - so many things are going on that cannot be seen in person in split seconds - can't see what got through and what was blocked/missed - and it's huge for Holloway at this point - where does he go? and he is the real champ - Volk does look like u would need to shoot him to KO him
There are video monitors right in front of each Judge at UFC events for when they “can’t see” or “do not have the best angle”.

So the judges throw it to Volk just so he isn't down 0-3 and pretty much needing the finish to win. Then the last 2 rounds were even closer then the 3rd, so he gets those also....fight should have been 3-2 Holloway. Volk though got better as the fight went on, but was never dominate at any point.

The problem with 10-9 scoring is simply, that it's to wide of a margin. A guy can win 10-9 that won by a single punch or a guy can win 10-9 that actually knocked his opponent to the mat.
