I did buy low on Koepka though and he’s off to a nice start

Bookmaker had Brooks up to 50/1 at one point yesterday. Bought him last month in Vegas at 25/1. Couldn't resist more at 44/1 and 48/1..

I usually have a longshot ticket on Phil.. Not this time. Only a matchup with Sticker. Wouldn't mind seeing you cash that Chop..

What do you think are the real life odds on him pulling this off?
Would be one of the greatest stories in the history of golf

Totally agree in that a Phil win would be one of the greatest golf achievements - he's 50 and leading a major --the longest major in the history of golf ,geez just under 8000 yds .. The biggest showing this week has been his iron play - the last few yrs he has been obsessed with length off the tee while his iron play has suffered. Of course his short game off the greens is so good ,and this course will definitely test the short game -- many greens with fall offs

How about Harrington ? Hole shit , crazy good performance that dude was good for dead waiting for the senior tour !

Matsuyama is a high ball hitter , with daily wind just not ideal for him -- doesn't matter, he's hitting it so pure and imo his short game is very underrated

Brooks I'd say is the fav .

Louis can play in windy conditions / links courses , dangerous name on that leaderboard

Moving day tomorrow!!

Phil Mickelson-50 ain't 30. It was amazing for awhile. An actual chance to break Julius Boros who won a major at 48 by 6 years.

Phil has always been a 'walk to the beat of his own drum' kinda guy. He'll do what he wants to do. But for Championship Sunday i'd be shocked if still wants to move the ball both ways off the tee. UGLY snap hooks on 12, 13, esp 13 that was horrible. Tension Day today, play the cut Phil.

Brooks tee-to-gree dosnt appear to be breaking a sweat. if he gets the flat blade going hard to see anybody beating him

Louis also needs to get the putter going--just couldnt get it to the hole yesterday!!!

should be a fun day

[h=1]Phil Mickelson 18 holes from history after securing one-shot lead in PGA Championship[/h]<address class="Author" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Oxygen, Ubuntu, Cantarell, "Fira Sans", "Droid Sans", "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; align-items: center; color: rgb(165, 166, 167); display: flex; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; line-height: 1.4;">Associated Press7:50 PM ET5 Minute Read

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- Phil Mickelson could have done without the thrills on Saturday in the PGA Championship.

Losing a five-shot lead in a span of five holes on the back nine. One tee shot into the water, another that ended up under a cart tire. It was all part of a wildly entertaining day that ended with Mickelson nearly holing a flop shot that can test the nerves of just about any 50-year-old but him.
That brought Mickelson to the cusp of history not many could have seen coming.
That par save for a 2-under 70 gave him a one-shot lead over Brooks Koepka and left Mickelson 18 holes away from becoming the oldest champion in the 161 years of the majors.
When he curled in the 4-foot putt for par on the 18th hole, Mickelson became the oldest player with a 54-hole lead in a major since 59-year-old Tom Watson at Turnberry in 2009.
That event didn't end well for Watson, who lost the British Open in a playoff to Stewart Cink. For Mickelson, it's an opportunity to become the oldest major champion. Julius Boros was 48 when he won the 1968 PGA Championship.
