Although I never play fantasy, I do cap individual performances, both in NBA and NFL. I know it is a team sport. But the team is made up of individuals. The lineman can only do so much for a rb. As far as players who make their own breaks, RB's and kickers are on their own. To watch a strong running game in motion, like Panthers blocking last year, is fun for me. But behind an average or below line, the back has to get the best he can. Good thread by itself, individuals in the team...Best Wsihes...OF

And most of us know that Barry Sanders was a perfect example of that years ago, wondering what could have been if he had been running behind Emmit Smith's line........

How many times did Barry get tackled for a loss, he led the league if I remember correctly. He would take the handoff, and blockers were being shoved into him. One of the best backs, on a very poorly coached team, Wayne's World. No passing threat, no blocking. Would have set a lot of records behind a good line. Best Wishes...OF

holmes shouldnt even be on that list. he is simply a product of the system he is in. any number of running backs in the nfl would be as successful as he is in the system k.c. is running.

dont get me wrong, i think he is a great guy, and a hard worker. but just look what he did in baltimore. if it wasnt for cinci he wouldnt of even had a 1000 yard season.

seriously, how the fvck is jamal lewis not on that list???

even before he rushed for over 2000 yards last year, he has been one of the most dominant backs in the league. he led a team with trent dilfer at quarterback to a superbowl victory. DOESNT THAT SAY ENOUGH RIGHT THERE?

General,

"Not in the fantasy world Lou. We need individuals".

Never liked fantasy football just for that reason.

Warrick Dunn if he can play the Giants every week! Really though, I think Dunn has a big season in him coming up. He is the perfect foil for Mike Vick. The other teams have to keep guys spying on Vick so Dunn's speed outside is a big asset when they run a misdirection or a draw play. On pass patterns he can sit in the flat since they don't need lots of protection on Vick, while the spy has to follow Vick. Anything he catches he should have an easy 10 yards in front of him.

Dunne is not big enough to play every down. The Ga. Dome surface is like concrete and it takes its toll. He is a great third down and long back though.

Ahman Green is the best running back in the NFL.

agreed. I also think he will be very, very lucky to make it through the year without a major injury

Johnny D, cmon now my friend, Dunn disproved everyone's theory that he was too small to play every down years ago when he was still in Tampa.......

A lot of times he didn't hit the hole too. He tried to make too many game-breaking runs when a 10-yard run was sufficient.
