The New York Jets have been struggling with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback though such has not spurred any indication that they are giving up on the 33-year-old veteran.

<!-- article_center_middle1_computer end -->Despite a two-game slump, coach Todd Bowels and the Jets are not giving up on the tested veteran who has been in the NFL for 12 seasons already. This is despite a series of notable declines in his game that includes interceptions, dropped passes and poor routes, ESPN reported.
[h=2]Will the Jets get a real quarterback?[/h]For the record, the Jets’ fortunes do not solely fall on the broad shoulders of Ryan Fitzpatrick. Before the season started, it was practically a given that the former Harvard University standout would be struggling.
It was all a gamble for the wards of Bowles who wanted to fill in a void with a tested veteran. The problem though is that their choice carried more questions than answers to his game.
[h=2]Would Johnny Manziel be better?[/h]Though nothing has been decided, the Jets may want to weigh their options. That includes possible consideration for another questionable quarterback in Johnny Manziel.
Manziel may be somehow in the same situation of Fitzpatrick with the distractions off the field. But seeing that the Jets have less stellar names like Christian Hackenberg, Bryce Petty, and Geno Smith, Bowles could give it a shot.
Manziel was recently reinstated by the NFL for violating a substance abuse, USA Today reported. He is 23 years old and previously tied up to the Cleveland Browns. Despite being a former Heisman Trophy winner, Manziel has gotten all the chances to become great.

<!-- article_center_middle2_computer end -->Manziel could still get a shot at that only if he keeps his head to play football and stay away from the vices outside the playing field. That opportunity could be with the New York Jets assuming Bowles is willing to take a high-risk maneuver on the faltering quarterback.
