steelers got a 3rd and 5th for brown
giants got a 1st and 3rd and peppers (last years first round pick) in return.
its a good haul for a receiver who has missed some time i think and compared to what the steelers got i think its great.

but the steelers admitted that they had much better offers that they either turned down or that Brown refused so it wasn't a true open market value for him. when you consider Pitt sent bryant away for a 3rd rounder getting brown for a 3+5 is a steal in terms of productivity. but they could have got something similar to the OBJ return (minus peppers) if they would have been open to trading to a rival or if brown didn't block.

agree 1st/3rd + peppers is insane return for this guy

big difference in age but big difference in health too. beckham cant stay on the field for a full season. both of these guys in 2 years will be demanding something regardless of how long their deal is with their teams. they just will once again want to restructure the deal and get more money, its just in their nature. drama follows the player and both have gone to teams with track records of not being well ran.
