Good catch. I'm here in Los Angeles, and rumor has it the Lakers may be making a pitch to McGrady. However, these 2 would definitely be interesting. Not sure if Iverson could exist on the team without acting like a fool with his bloated ego. He would have to tune it down considerably.

Yeah, it'd be tough as I don't see him getting more than 12-18min per game... I can't see how he'd handle that well.

this was a horrible move by my wolves. that 2011 pick will be a top 5 pick, i guarantee it. this team is shit and isnt going anywhere for years. beasley brings nothing to the table, and they clear 5 mill.

kahn is an idiot.

agree 100% - are we sure the pick isn't conditional? otherwise this move is unconscionable as far as T-Wolves' fans go

I'm a Heat fan, and I concur with your assessment. Beasely is a waste, and Miami will have a lottery pick in 2011.

Since your team is the Wolves, do you think Ricky Rubio will eventually come and play for them? :think2: That kid can ball.

Nope. It's not conditional. Appears good 'ole Pat Riley is up to this tricks again! :lolBIG:

rubio will come. has to play here if he ever wants to play in the nba.

and looking into it further, the pick swappage is conditional over a 7 year time period, which means itll be protected lottery wise

Thanks for clarifying the 1st round pick swap.

Think Rubio will hold out and refuse to play for the Wolves and force a trade? :think2:

BTW, what was the reason he didn't play this last season? :think2:

he was afraid of moving to the states at 18 and wanted to play 2 more seasons in spanish league. also had a 5 mill buyout he couldnt afford. says he wants to come, kahn wont trade him, i know that for sure.

okay that makes a lot more sense as far as the pick goes then, as it's not like miami will have the money to sign a low lottery pick anyways.

Stackhouse is a good one... I could see that, he's be very much like what PJ Brown was to the C's in 2008. Any other names that come to mind? I'm really interested, as I don't know a ton of players that are out there.

I know Randy Foye, Josh Howard, and Mike Miller are out there as of today... I could see Miller signing for the minimum.

Why would Miller sign for the minimum? That's some crazy talk. He's going to be in demand, lots of teams in need. He's gonna bank.

Not sure I've given up on Beasley yet. He could still turn it around. Has the potential to be a lot like Carmelo Anthony. Their games seem similiar aside from one being a lefty the other righty. Both could be average from 3, really good midrange, take it to the whole good, and good around the basket.

I think Iverson and McGrady would both be terrible fits in Miami. They need some role players. Big man who is good on D and crashes the offensive boards. Other need is a guard/foward who is two deminsional in they just shoot 3's and defend well. Like James Posey or Bruce Bown mold. They don't need any offensive minded players, just hustle and tougness type players.

Yeah but Incumbus I don't think LeBron wants any part of Shaq again after last season & the debate about running a faster-paced offense without Shaq on the floor...

If Riley does not appoint himself coach before the year starts, Heat better start out 20-2 or Riley will see that the team needs him. You know it is going to happen
