After 911, we knew full well that OSB lived in Afghanistan. We also knew the planning for the act took place in the country and the Taliban provided safe haven for the terrorists.

What should we have done differently? In all seriousness.

I'm sure that in the next few months, the U.S. military forces will have killed enough people in Afghanistan to properly balance the scales of justice.

Five, maybe six months tops.

So our personal disagreement about U.S. military priorities in the year 2011 and beyond will be at an end.

After 9/11/2001, we knew full well that OSB lived in Afghanistan. We also knew the planning for the act took place in the country and the Taliban provided safe haven for the terrorists.

What should we have done differently? In all seriousness.

So the U.S. military is currently in Afghanistan nine years later seeking to bring the 9/11/2001 perpetrators to justice?

How many more hundreds (or thousands) will they kill before they get the right ones?

How many more of my American brothers and sisters must be added to the 9/11/2001 initial body count of approximately 2800 before we're "even"?

Last I checked, the U.S. military has sent close to 5000 American men and women to their deaths as part of the "revenge" for the acts of 9/11/2001

Maybe 6000 is the magic number when we can finally declare "victory".

Or 7000

Osama Bin Laden has triumphed. His goal was to break down the U.S. economy and bankrupt our federal government and unless there's some changes coming which I don't know about, he's pretty much pulled it off. And the worst part is, we just keep giving him more bodies.

Many Americans cheer this outcome, whiile others of us remain horrified

Don't play this game Barman. I asked you a very simple question. After 911, what would you have done different?

It's only a "game" for those moving the U.S. military troops like pawns in chess

But since "game playing" seems to be in vogue for you cats in your shiny uniforms....I'll roll the dice once

If killing Afghans and Iraqis is the secret to "making America safe" (it's truly impossible to keep a straight face when typing those three words), then "I" would mobilize the entire U.S. military worldwide and ship them into Afghanistan. We will stretch them in a skirmish line stretching from the north border to the south border and sweep east/west like a plague of locusts - killing every brown skinned potential "terrorist" in our path.

(Any Afghan civilians caught up in the genocide are simply Collateral Damage, so don't whine - THIS IS A FUCKING WAR, you U.S. civilian pussies!)

Nukes would of course be a lot faster and cheaper, but then U.S. corporate interests would lose the petroleum pipeline which bisects the country and I think that none of us would want to piss off the Real Masters here, eh?

This is seriously your answer? You bitch and moan and complain about all that's going on and this is your answer? Good grief.

What does this really have to do with anything at all? I have to take a random uranalysis every so often. I also think it's a waste of time.

Probably.....based on the nine years of jacking off so far by the U.S. "security" forces, the cartoon episode may have had a more defineable outcome

This is seriously your answer? .

Hey, remember that I'm a Commie

I figure the best strategy is to emulate my political forefathers from the USSR who had a "ten year plan" to kick ass in Afghanistan before they finally got tired of hammer&sickle flag draped coffins being shipped back to Moscow.

Speaking of commies.....or should I say, "communistas" - good to see CostaRica-based Americans weighing in

One of many upsides for being an American ex-pat is that you're no longer helping fund the U.S. War Machine

When you're dropping bombs from 20,000 feet and/or sending in unmanned drones via computer from miles away, main risk of injury is to your thumb depressing the red button on the video game console

So, let's recap. I asked a very easy question here to Barman. He complains about our foreign policy and whines and moans about what is wrong with this and that blah, blah, blah. Disrespects our military by calling them "mercenaries" but only the ones serving in the Middle East (but not the ones in the Middle East serving as medical staff whatever that means). Blames everything on President Bush and things we're killing innocent civilians by the thousands.

But, when asked a very simple question on what he'd do different after 911, he absolutely has no answer. Not one suggestion or clue on what he'd do. It's very telling indeed.

No different than a school teacher or any business that requires a random uranalysis.
