Also, my personal advice is always use "risk" option. Don't lay x to win. If you're laying to win, then you will place different amounts on each game. This can be dangerous. I'm a strong believer in flat staking so I'm using "risk" option, same size for every bet. Be it -150 or -110. It doesn't matter..

ye i started chasing my losses by betting to win x amounts.. n it just got worse n worse. i mean im not down a ridiculous amount or anything but i've never really practised a proper money management system because i wanted to recoup my losses for early reckless gambling first lol.. I've decided to let it go and start fresh

this is my personal strategy:

Your bankroll should be what you can afford to lose w/out it affecting you.

If you are tailing someone - bets should be flat bet 1 or 2 % of your bankroll max. Don't fall for the game of the year, 2000 dime or 20,000* locks it is just marketing meant to entice you. Those plays don't win at a higher rate than any other play. Just bet a flat % and you will do better.

If you are doing your own handicapping - Bets should be 1-3% max. anymore than that and a losing streak(which will happen to everyone) will kill you. 80% of your bets should be 1 % , 10% should be 2 % and 10% are 3%. The difference is when you do your own capping you keep a log of all systems and plays and when you notice that a certain type of situation wins more often you pound it for 2 or 3% as opposed to 1%

Like sawyer said your bankroll will grow slowly doing it this way, but it will grow. You up your bets based on reaching new money levels.

1k bankroll = $10 bets
1100 BR = $11 bets
1200 BR = $12 bets
1500 BR = $15 bets
2500 BR = $25 bets....etc

should you go on a losing streak(and you will everyone does) drop your bet level down after you lose 15% of your BR. EX if you started with 1k you are betting $10 bets. stay at $ unless your BR reaches $850 then drop it to $8.50. This way your base bet stays at 1% and the chances of you going bankrupt are slim.

you cash out when your BR goes up 30%...cash out half. Just make sure to adjust your bets according to your new bankroll. If you really don't care about cashing out, your money will grow faster.

ex: you start with 1k. When you get to $1,300 cash out $150, leaving you with $1,150 making your 1% bet now $11.50

other bits of advice I have learned.
If you are tailing people keep the plays to a minimum 1 or 2. You never know whether they have put a real effort into making that play or not. Sometimes cappers just throw a play out there just to have one that people can buy.

If you are doing your own capping based on systems. If you find a system that hits at over 55%, play every game that fits that system and "grind" out your profits slowly at 1% bets

It takes discipline to come out ahead in this business. If you have it and you use solid money management, you will be fine.

enjoy

When we should increase our unit size?

I was using the classical method, (increasing your unit size when you increased your bankroll by %20 or 30) but over last 6 month, I'm using a different method and very happy so far.

Let's say your starting bankroll is 1,000 and you're risking %5 per game. So you risk 50$ per game. You increased your bankroll to 1300, increased your bet size to 65.

But you were on a great run and a cold run happened after you hit 1300. So when you go 0-3, you will lose 195 (65x3) instead of 150. (50x3)

So, when I increase my unit size right now?

I increased my bankroll by %25-30? Well, I wait for a cold streak. Let's say our bank is 2k, I'm betting 100$ per game (%5). I went 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-1 and increased my bank to 2600. It was a good streak and you know good runs won't go forever. So I don't increase my bet size yet, waiting for a cold streak. So I'm still betting 100$. (not 130$)

Then I went 0-2, 1-2.

Now, it's time to increase your unit size! I went 1-4 and lost only 300$ (assuming odds are +EVEN, damage will be -309$ if odds are -110. You win 91, You Lost -400.) If I was betting 130$, then damage would be 420$! My bank is down to 2300 and i'm increasing my unit size to 115$.

It's not a chase system. You just try to have law of averages by your side.
