The other thing is I understand the Iowa loss is bad, but why is Clemson number one if bad losses count? Is a 30 point loss to an avg Iowa team as bad as a 3 point loss to a 4-8 cuse team who did not win another game the rest of the season and finished last in the division? What if UGA lost to Vandy or Oklahoma lost to Kansas? Don’t know why more people are not talking about how bad that loss was for Clemson but still making them number one. Syracuse is not a good team!

Clemsons 3rd string QB should have slept walk through this game and they did not. OSU lost their QB at Michigan and their backup came in and won the game in a hostile environment.

i can’t stand the Buckeyes, argued PSU should have gotten in above them last year but too much focus on losses when teams play unbalanced schedules. Again, not like the NFL. If OSU plays Mercer and not Oklahoma or USC plays Mercer and not Notre Dame then we are not even having this discussion. OSU or USC are in automatically.
i don’t like it because the committee is rewarding teams that do not take chances and rewards a team like Bama who hides and refuses to play a true OOC Road game in addition to FCS teams, it is like an extra week off. Mercer just started scholarship football in 2014! Why the fuck is a team like Bama even entertaining playing them let alone late inNovember. The committee should say if you want to play for titles you should not schedule Mercer.
Or don’t play Oklahoma. Even if OSU lost to Iowa ugly they would still be in over Bama if they played Mercer with one loss and a conf title. No question. They did the same thing to PSU last year. The committee sent the message that because PSU lost at Pitt they will not make the playoffs. The committee sent the message that PSU should have scheduled Mercer instead of Pitt and they would have made the playoffs last year. The committee is rewarding weak OOC schedules and it will suck for fans going forward.
Sick of hearing every game matters in the NCAA unlike the NFL, well not if you schedule games in which the other team has no chance of winning like FCS schools.
How many titles have the sec have in the last 4 Years? How many does the B10 have? Answer: the same. I can say the same about Vandy , Kentucky, Missouri, And Arkansas. Again, it is 2017 not 2010. The SEC is not that good this year. Outside three teams the rest of the SEC is a hot mess. What is the best OOC win in the SEC West? Who did they beat? The B10 is not great but the committee should reward teams playing tough OOC games. It is good for the fans otherwise the OSUs and USCs will schedule Kent State and Northern Arizona which is bad for fans.

This is how it's done in the NBA - we used to watch Duncan/Robinson play Kobe/Shaq in the West - and the winner had literally zero chance of losing to the team that got to the East finals by default (Nets/76ers) - let the best teams play for the title - we are talking about fucken Alabama here - only on the greatest run in the history of college football - with the best all time coach - i do think OSU could hang with all these teams though - but they have 2 losses - and no one takes the Big 10 seriously with the exception of OSU

Besides, if everything was so inevitable we would all be millionaires, but this is sports, nothing is predictable. Titles should earn automatic qualification earned on the field.
