Jake,

Still a little confusion. I was just told I could not use best play on 5 inning totals. Not sure why (unless you conisder 5 innings as a prop, then I fully understand).

If so (clarification) can use best play only on sides in baskets (entire game), run line and totals baseball (entire game) and hockey totals.

Is that correct?

May not see your response before I leave for the day. Thanks for everything

Assassin,

Best bets cannot be used on specialty wagers, MLs, or baseball sides (game or first half). You should have been able to wager that on a 5 inning total, however. This was a rather recent change, as you know

, so evidently some clerks were not clear. I have since made sure everyone is up to date. Thank you for pointing that out...any help I can get is appreciated.

As for the ideas for the baseball season, PLEASE keep em coming. We want to make sure we offer the clients what they want, not just want we think they will want. Best of luck!!!

Thanks Jake,

Sorry I wasn't around to see it last night.
The guy did call it out to some manager who said it could nt be done (obviously not you). Will look for it again.
The wager, well it would have LOST, so the mix up saved me $500 (was looking at texas/TB over 4.5 -15 for the 5 innings).

We all really appreciate everything SB does, keep up the good work. Transition has had a few bumps regarding the changes on the BP offer, but it is all good (hey, you are giving us something for free, so why complain)

Man must be my lucky day or people are alseep at the books

pointed one out at another book, CS never heard of any comp, but said they fixed the line (big woop) , checked with line manager, still no comp, offered to let me speak to a LM, and low and behold before transfering me to the LM gave me $25

nice to be a good guy and still gt rewarded for not pounding a bad line

You could be breaking new ground here as a wrong line bonus whore. No offense, I respect that. Great job. Best Wishes...OF

Its really all about quality control for the books. Y finding these as I look for wagers players have 3 choices

A) Pound it and take a shot (bad business in my mind)
B) Play it small and hope to fly under the radar (still bad business, but an option if the book is not appreciative)
C) Spend MY TIME and report it for some small compensation (1 place let me keep the bad line once, of course it lost anyway)

I normally choose C. And I sleep well at night.

Curous how the books feel.

People should report bad lines out of courtesy and not even expect a $10 wager in return. Nickel and dime stuff here. It's cool if the book throws a bone, but should not be expected.

Huh? Its not like I,m betting with my buddy and he has the wrong idea. They are in BUSINESS to take MY money. If I have an idea to help their book and they take my idea (Correcting a bd line), why shouldn;t I be compensated for MY TIME. Trust me if people played the bad lines we we be back into the discussion of "all bets are final when confirmed". I am saving them HUGE headaches. I'm still waiting for the day when a book emails me and says, "we had the line wrong and should have paid you more than what was stated when you confirmed your wager". Never going to happen.

This is a SERVICE players provide. A small token of gratitude is not out of line.

I do it for free, and will not except a bone. But if it is offered, take the bone. A long time ago, I would bet them, too bad for books. Found one at Olympic, Some dumb prop. I think the bus rushing TD or something. Bet it there, and bet other side somewhere else. A manager from Olympic called me, and said it was a bad line. I told him I already had the other side. He got a little testy and I hung up. Less than 10 minutes later Spiro himself called. I thought he was going to rip me, instead he ripped the manager for bothering me at home. So now I am feeling like a total jerk, Spiro and I have a heart to heart. He explains how some people take advantage of bad wording, bad lines. He says those are the ones that bother him. If they do not give back, he pays and boots. Just a matter of integrity. He let me keep the dumb prop. He won. Probably most important point he made was, this is a gambling business, and that prop could win or lose. But these other guys were betting into wrong or missing verbage that could not win. Needless to say I dropped my no holds barred approach. I try to work with the books, because they butter my toast. Very tempting to pound those bad lines, but just some things OMNIVOROUS FROG will not eat. Also, Spiro stuck up for me indirectly when I was in a crew for betting. My boss asked Spiro what should he do about paying me a large future we all cashed. Spiro's answer, pay the man. So this post went from wrong lines to a Spiro endorsement, but it all comes together. There are so many scumbags in this business, I do not want to be known as that type. I would rather be a frog. Best Wishes...OF

assassin,

I did not say anyone was wrong. I just stated my own opinion on the matter. I am like Frog in that I will call and if they offer I will likely say that is not necessary, but if they insist, then I would accept. I never pick up the phone or send a message expected anything in return for being courteous.

Thank you General Sir, with your posting experience you say a lot more with a lot less. I think the term would be professional courtesy. 3 bonuses I have never collected, referral, loser's rebate or wrong line. I am not in position to judge anyone. I just have self imposed frog guidelines. Need to get one of my fishing boats refurbished, and hook up my new Bose home entertainment courtesy of Royal. Thanks Royal. Best wishes...OF
