simple question. Are you planning to hook this tv up to a computer? if not then you will not notice a differences between 720p and 1080p. But if you are planning to hook it up to a comp then 1080p will be a better resolution on a computer
1280x720 is 720p
1920x1080 is 1080p

$80 is quite a bit cheaper on a 32 inch that range form only $300 to $500 anyway.

these companys like LG are great, but they often buy the old tubes from the higher end companies, so the tubes in them can be older.

On this particular tv it is no big deal probably since it is a secondary TV that you will use in the office or whatever, but its just important information to know.

Now, I am Mostly into that and sometimes want the Wife to watch as well
She of course won't watch on a Laptop ( don't blame her )
We be nice to hook it up to the TV

Actually you would be surprise. It's actually the other way around. Most companies don't even make their panels anymore and they just re badge it and put their name on it. I know samsung stop producing their own panels that is under 42 inch.

So IMO i would not run off and buy any product just because its made by big names. Do your research on sites such as avsforums they have in detail about the tv set and calibration settings on your set.

Which one FairW ?? 720p ? or the 1080p ?

1080. The sales rep said the difference between the 720 and 1080 could be noticed as the set gets older in action shots, like NASCAR. Supposedly the 720p will blur or slightly streak with the action.

Yeah, I'm just going to go to Best Buy this afternoon and check it out.

I believe I will go with the 1080p, because I see it has a few extras that I can use.

Going on some of these TV Forums is getting my head spinning.

When you get to the Store and they have them all on, You can tell which has a Better Picture, and which one Doesn't.

Did it one time in a SportsBar...they had like 11 Flat Panel TV's going at once....and you can Spot the bad ones Right away.

Maybe there will be another Brand I like ?? who knows

But Right Now, I'm going in to Buy the LG....Might come Out with something else ?? LOL

BAS, my guy said it's a great buy.

All the technical shit confuses anybody, numbers letters different brands. He's even said they change the resolution on the cheaper model TVs to appear not as efficient as the pricier versions. That's why I just send everybody to him.

You can't go wrong here. You can trust us midwestern guys (even if FW likes the Cubs)

my advice:
go to best buy compare models
go to cnet read reviews and tech info
search online for best price
buy at amazon, see above, they will give you back your $ if the price drops which it almost always does. not only will you save $ but you also dont have to pic it up or set it up.

[there is no 1080p signal yet, so it depends on how long will you keep it}

Lg------sucks

Am not happy with any of their products, their phones, washers dryers..they all suck. I would run from them. Samsung and Sony are strong but BB has a Pannasonic 42 inch HD 1080p for 699 this week. Go bigger and stay away from LG
