Did you book through a site like Expedia or whatever? (I have a hard time trusting those sites)

I've used Viator and Travelocity for years, never a problem, I book all my flights through Expedia, never a problem

runmaker- I booked through expedia, they actually had an office outside next to starbucks if you wanted to book excursions or anything. It was all inclusive, I didn't spend any money drinking or eating out of pocket (except what I tipped the staff). now some items would be ala cart, like if you wanted to order lobster tails or filet mignon or top shelf drinks. I'm not a big seafood guy and I was happy with the free 12oz ny strip steaks and other cuts of meat that were already included. You do get a discount on the ala cart items being an all inclusive member, as opposed to doing European style. I was drinking anything from mudslides, Miami vices, margaritas, and many other tropical drinks with tequila, rum, vodka etc. I took one shot down there (wife doesn't do shots) and it was Don Julio tequila.

it cost around $1400 for the all inclusive for the two of us (6 days and 5 nights). they provided free entertainment beach volley ball, snorkeling, paddle boards, kayak etc and then your motorized sports and excursions were extra. I tipped the girl $50 at check in and got a room upgrade from Garden view to ocean view and got to check in four hours early. We received a free bottle of Champaign and chocolate covered strawberries since they new it was our honeymoon. most of our drinking sessions would run around $100-150 and most dinners would be around $80-200 if we were not all inclusive.

Great goddamn reply! A little too tired to ask lots of questions right now, but when you say $1400... is that excluding airfare?

No, our flights down there were about 450 each, more or less depending upon where you are flying out of. A ride to the resort from the airport was $40 round trip per person, id say total trip with tipping and souvenoirs came out to about 3k for both of us

NICE
Move. :toast: That was money well spent.

Especially if ya'll were able to go begin consuming included Drinks Immediately. And Foodstuffs. I could've recouped that 50 in very short order, value-wise....drinking let alone via Volume of Foodstuffs consumed. Within Said 4 Hours....of that early Check-In.

on a separate note, airmexico/delta was horrible coming back. we left 30+ mins late leaving cancun going through Atlanta. They didn't assign half the passengers seats until at the gate and it took forever (had empty seats on the plane). we were suppose to have a 2hr layover which became 1 1/2 hr layover, and we still missed our connecting flight. with getting off the plane, meeting delta staff running getting through customs, having to pick up our luggage from customs and re drop it off with delta, and then finally going through tsa again, we got through security at 407 and our flight was leaving at 420. we stopped at the first delta desk and asked if they could hold our flight (we had to take a train 2 terminals over), they said they were not holding any flights and we would have to reschedule. On top of it, they lost both of our luggage tags (which were wedding gifts), hers on the trip down and mine on the trip back.
