NOTE: Solid. Rock solid.
With exception of the Villanova no show early Saturday and the James Madison implosion, my other 4 Saturday selections were as solid as it gets or as I always say, right side of the game.
Lsu outright. Florida State led wire to wire although they made us sweat a little down the stretch. Rice almost won outright as a 9-point dog and Virginia Tech just ran out of gas.
This month of March is about getting back to right side of more games than the wrong side. It's about more top play winners than top play losses. It's about perfect money management and discipline.
It a nutshell, it's all about winning at a level you have never seen from me.
I have waited for this month to get here like never before. I can't wait for the conference tourney's to get here next week and the Big Dance 2 weeks later.
I am predicting my biggest March ever. Bigger than anything I have ever done before. Mark it down. Write it down. File it away and you just wait and see where you are at after I bang home the National championship winner in April.
I hit the championship game between Oklahoma/Florida. I hit the Super bowl. I will hit the College championship winner as well.
First things first. A 2nd straight winning day. Get March off to a fantastic start. Buckle down for the winningest night you have ever had.
Enjoy your Sunday.
20-Dime Louisville - Once again the Cardinals are surging at the right time, and this is the big test. I think they'll pass with flying colors, as they come in on a four-game win streak that has seen them average 85.3 points per game and allow a mere 62.8; meanwhile, the Cards have held eight of their last 10 opponents below the 70-point mark.
Currently sitting second in the Big East at 13-2, this is a huge game for Rick Pitino's boys, and they'll seize the opportunity by knocking off a quality foe that is just behind in third place to gain momentum before the postseason tournament. The Cardinals are an impressive 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS at home.
On top of all that, the Redbirds have won and cashed the last three meetings in this rivalry, including home and road wins last season by 20 and 14 points, respectively. The Cardinals are on a 4-1 ATS roll the last five contests, and though the underdog is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings, I'm confident we're going to get the double-digit cover.
5-Dime Florida - Tennessee and Florida both have 8-5 SEC marks and are tied for second in the East Division. But the Volunteers are sporting a 5-8 ATS mark in conference play - 2-4 on the road. On the other hand, the Gators are 6-0 SU in conference play at home. Mix in the fact the Volunteers are mired in a bevy of negative ATS skids, including 2-5 overall (all in SEC action), 0-4 on the road, 1-5 against winning teams, 1-4 after a straight-up victory and 3-9 against teams that have won more than 60 percent of their games and this is a clear-cut winner for us.
5-Dime Duquesne - The Dukes are peaking right now and with the strong guard play they have, I like this team to continue its run into the postseason. Sitting at 17-9 on the year, Duquesne would reach some satisfaction with a win today, surpassing last season's 17-win total ... and there's still plenty of time left to make a run into the Big Dance. This kid Aaron Jackson reminds me of Dwayne Wade. He is among the leaders in numerous Atlantic 10 statistical categories, and could very well be the best player in the conference. He literally brings the chemistry together for Duquesne, and today he'll be instrumental in leading the Dukes to a crushing win and cover.
