General copy this anywhere that might help

ANYONE GETTING THE "XP SERVICE PACK 2 UPDATE" ON YOUR COMPUTERS
asking you to download updates, might want to WAIT

This update is carrying a highjacker that will take over your home page, and also allow more trojan spyware in. I have been escalated to the highest of technical support to reslove the issue, and it is a 45 minute appointment to get it fixed. The genius people at microsoft would never tell you NOT TO DOWNLOAD the update, they will just let the problem arrive and then do the surgery to fix it.

This is the PC SAFETY line for help on this matter 1-866 727-2338

Also if your home page is automatically titles " about: blank" this is the major virus they are working on. Just tell them the words

"about:blank" and they will esclate your case immediately.

Anyone else seeing that shield pop up asking you to update, I would refrain until further developments.

Hope this helps NEWPORT

I will also provide a GREAT tool for CLEAN UP, and it is free from www.downloads.com

Go under the spyware section of this website, and downloads the free version of

"SPY SWEEPER"

This spyware actually removed all the bad in my computer, but was so up to date, that it "actually identified the hijacker that came with the XP Update, and let me know that it could nto remove it. So this software right now has a strong "current" handle on the situation. You run that SPY SWEEPER freebie, and call that PC Safety line. The combination should help you significantly.

One silver lining, is that a year ago when all this spyware sh!t was going on, Microsoft would charge you 70 bucks an hour for phone help. They realize right now they need to help out for free.

Hope this all HELPS NEWPORT

not true at all. I guarantee you have spyware on your computer.

And yes spy sweeper is the best. You do have to pay for it though, but it is worth it...like 40 bucks for 2 years. Adaware, spybot, norton antivirus and all the rest suck balls compared to spysweeper.

Yes it is from sp2, and they had me run hijack for the report as well. I am not savvy enough to go in and do the surgery myself, they will be calling me back to do it.

The MS Safety line above has already confirmed that SP2 is the carrier, the pirate culperate, they are still trying to locate it. I am good , just thought I would share the good phone number for help, and a good "Harvey Kitel" the Cleaner software hahaha

Why would Microsoft send out an update knowing
it was infected with a virus?

They did not intend to, but their automatic updates, got pirated.....you know pirate....like jump on someone elses boat

The file appfw32.exe and a19.tmp.exe, and bxxs5.dll PIRATES that have linked themselves to the SP2 update, so they come in as pirate stowaways

When the fuckk are people gonna start holding Microsoft accountable for their completely inept products?

PEOPLE need to start sueing these mother truckers!

I simply can't believe the shitt that Microsoft get's away with! In any other case anywhere in the world the seller of disfunctional products would either be sued into bankrupcy or be taken out of business by the BBB/Government.

"YAWN"

Yet we all still line up for the slaughter whilest the monopoly continues...

Ever hear of Apple computers having these issues?

Ever hear of Lenux having these issues? :103631605

Its just pathetic that these Fvcking losers have to spend thier time fvcking with our lives. Dont they have anything better to do then mess with people that NEED to use these machines to do important things for work and talk on the RX?? Anybody caught doing this should be put in jail for 40 years if not more. The press should get ahold of this and let it be known the severe penalities for being a part of sending out a virus. I would love to get ahold of one of these bastards and beat the living sh*T out of them!

Alright guys I feel much better now.. . I could almost. . :dancefool

Totally agree with everything you said. But cheater said it best. MICROSOFT is the culprit. They put out products they know are flawed and they don't care. People are still going to buy their shiiit. They know their software is vunerable to virus's/spyware. Think about it...the only reason this shiit exists is because Microsoft let it.

Newport, can you give directions on how to remove those files and get the computer working normally again?

Thanks.
