What I hate about serena is she will say...."my opponent played the match of her life" pretty much implying it was a fluke. She says it everytime she loses.

Damn, I missed the Serena match. Just read the last 2 pages on this thread, though, lmfao. Way to cash in seer. I have an addiction for fading Serena. Really kicking myself right now.

So, I'm just starting to think about the match tonight. Can't wait! I remember last years final. The first 2 sets were fucking EPIC! Then Murray crashed and burned. I'm having a hard time believing that it will be the same tonight. Right now, it's Murray or nothing for me. I know he's easily hateable, but at least he's not super fake like Serena. This ain't a popularity contest anyways....

So, here's some of my thoughts:
As easy as it is to get sucked into the Djokovic occult, Andy Murray is still the clear-cut #2 player in the world right now... (in my mind). Some will still argue Roger, Stan or Nadal, but looking at the last 6 tournaments in Melbourne, that is definitely the case when looking specifically at this tournament. Yes, there's a huge gap between him and Novak, but Murray has what it takes to beat Novak if Novak is slightly off his game.

Murray doesn't have any glaring weaknesses in his game, it's just that Novak does everything better. Andy can return Novak's serve just fine. He moves well. He doesn't commit a ton of unforced errors. His second serve is strong enough that it shouldn't be as big of a liability as it is when others play Djokovic. He can hit lines and play drop shots moving Novak around enough to force some errors.

Both of Andy Murray's Grand Slam titles have been against Novak in the Finals. Murray also beat Novak in the Olympic semi-finals. Talk about not catching a break! But, it can be done. And though Murray likes to whine and bitch about everything, I don't think it really affects his play. He's one of the more clutch players on tour.

I like the spread at +6 for even money. But not as much as the over. Also like NOT Djokovic in 3 -155. Probably sprinkle some on Murray in 4 and Murray in 5.

Want to hear your guys' thoughts.

Well, NOT Djokovic in 3 went to -170... Was -155
And over 36 is now -140. Was -125 I think.

Should have taken them earlier.

Joker has only 3-0 Murray one time in grand slam events and it was on this surface in 2011. That tells me Murray can match Jokers level of play in big stages. Since he has failed on this stage 4 times, maybe he has learned something. But I don't think Murray can beat Novak on his favorite surface. Over looks too easy but i like it... i'll be back

I don't quite understand the total though. I thought it would be 41 if Murray had a chance in this match. This isn't a dog out of no where in Murray, like Kerber was last night. Serena is old and hungry players coming up want to beat her...everyone knows Murray... Kerber has been around but people don't respect her...until now. I think people are holding out hope Novak will have a sloppy match again. But, like I said on his quest he always has one of those where you are questioning if he is really that good or what. But this is a final and he didn't care if he saw Murray or Milos... all he cared about was if it went 5 sets. and the fact that it did go 5 sets will give him all the confidence he needs to propel past murray. If this was on any other court or any other tournament I would say Murray has a good shot just because he is so capable of raising his game. But Novak in THIS final, no way... Murray lost a tiebreaker to David Ferrer... I know ferrer is a fighter but that is kind of questionable to me because Ferrer has no power serve and Murray should of been able to dictate points easy. It might be one of his goals to win this tournament, but he may never.
