FF, Steve attempted to call the bettor to tell him all money bet over the max was going to be voided. What don't you understand? The guy has a phony address and bogus phone #. Steve has said repeatedly the bet was cancelled BEFORE the match started. You are calling Steve a liar, I choose not too. If you care to paste the post where Steve says he decided to cancel the bet AFTER the match then I will side with you. I know Steve. I bet big dollars. I would not be betting with a crook, and thats what you are calling Steve.

JJ-
1) Shrink says WSEX willing to pay.
2) Shrink not saying guy is a fraud (in latest posts).
3) WSEX still cancelled the bets AFTER the game was played, which is worse than anything Revere has done.

Chuck-
Steve has already acknowledged that the bets were cancelled after the game and retracted his earlier statement that they were cancelled before. Learn to read!

Did'nt think so. After learning more about this I would have closed his account upon further investigation instead of canceling his wagers. What would you have done?

I am sticking to what I have been saying all along. Revere14 is right....he should be paid.

However, there is one thing that could flip me. If WSEX could show that they cancelled the wagers before the game or early into it, I would take the book's side.

D2bets,

It is a little complicated. I was notified about 30 minutes before the match about the problem. I instructed the girls to contact him
and cancel the bets. We were unable to reach him. The bets weren't cancelled officially off
our system until after the match. There were 2 reasons for this. First there was no supervisor in at the time who could cancel wagers. The second reason was I wanted to speak with him and decide how much action we were going to accept at that number.

I would side with WSex 100% had they just cancelled one of the 400+ bets Revere made. But because they waited until after the match to cancel, and because they've booked bets above their posted limits with many players in the past, then I'd have to side with Revere.

Not good when someone asks a simple, verifiable "yes or no" question and the response starts with "it is a little complicated."

I waded through that whole initial thread and in reading wsexsteve's first reaction he was being deceitful. He may have adjusted his statement later to say they *tried* to cancel the bets but couldn't, but if I am not mistaken he only corrected himself after Revere posted the record showing that the bets were cancelled officially about 3 hours after the game ended.

Personally, I find all this muckraking about Revere somewhat offensive. How is any of his personal information about whatever outside shady dealings he has relevant to the issue of whether his bets are valid? It isn't. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that people are now trying to make Revere look as bad as possible to gain sympathy for WSEX. I hope that isn't the case but that is my initial reaction after reading many of these posts.

I should say that I have used WSEX in the past and I have always found them to be a superb book, but they really should pay Revere and then wash their hands of it. I mean, why are they even worried whether Revere can get paid via Neteller? What does that have to do with this issue? Why not just credit his WSEX account for his win and then let him worry about getting his money.

Java - I respect your opinion, I'm just going by what I am told. Sounds like WSEX wants to resolve this as soon as they can. Haden admitted his book was sloppy. Even though it is obvious the player has motives of his own they aren't ducking their responsibility here. In fact I think they are willing to go above and beyond what I would have done myself.

Bravo Boys!
It's nice to see you guys asking WSEX to prove themselves while the whole time you support Revere and his ethics.
