LSU did play good down the stretch last year, but it's not like USC played like ****. After losing to Cal they averaged nearly 45 points a game and their win margin was over 27 points. It's too bad we have to speculate here because it would have been an incredible football game.
As for USC and Auburn...what is your rational..Auburn looks better on paper?. USC went into Auburn last year and shut them out...IN THEIR CRIB!!! Certainly Auburn has improved this year but now all of a sudden the same team that got shut out last year are vastly better than USC? It's not like USC just stopped developing while Auburn was making all these incredible gains.
I think Auburn and USC will be a great game. I'm not ready to call for a USC win, I think last year's USC team was better than this year's. But I will say that if you line them up man for man, they are pretty evenly matched, with USC having an advantage at QB, WR, and coaching, and Auburn having an edge defensively. I won't count Oklahoma out of the mix either because they are winning like Ohio State kept winning and who knows, USC could still lose to Notre Dame or UCLA.
