LSU did play good down the stretch last year, but it's not like USC played like ****. After losing to Cal they averaged nearly 45 points a game and their win margin was over 27 points. It's too bad we have to speculate here because it would have been an incredible football game.

As for USC and Auburn...what is your rational..Auburn looks better on paper?. USC went into Auburn last year and shut them out...IN THEIR CRIB!!! Certainly Auburn has improved this year but now all of a sudden the same team that got shut out last year are vastly better than USC? It's not like USC just stopped developing while Auburn was making all these incredible gains.

I think Auburn and USC will be a great game. I'm not ready to call for a USC win, I think last year's USC team was better than this year's. But I will say that if you line them up man for man, they are pretty evenly matched, with USC having an advantage at QB, WR, and coaching, and Auburn having an edge defensively. I won't count Oklahoma out of the mix either because they are winning like Ohio State kept winning and who knows, USC could still lose to Notre Dame or UCLA.

That's true.

I'm pulling for an Auburn/USC matchup. They're the best two teams in the country right now. Oklahoma doesn't deserve to play for the championship. They looked pathetic when they were up 30 on Nebraska and kept chunking it 30 and 40 yards trying to tack on another score. They even went for it on 4th down trying to score more. They're a good team, but no better than any other team in the top 10.

LSU beat OU last year only because Jason White was playing hurt and they were lucky enough to get them in their own backyard with a bunch of screaming cajuns on their side. Even then it was still close. This years more balanced OU team would have had their clocks cleaned by halftime. Say what you will about the Big 12, but OU is damn good.

GoSooners, you've got to admit that the 21-14 LSU win over OU was very misleading, as LSU turned it over twice at the doorstep, was about to go up 28-7 when an INT brought OU all the way back to the 30, as it's following TD for OU that required a beautiful 4th down conversion, and also the blocked punt for TD were all that were allowed..the two short-field scores = a rout in every way except for the final score.

Most all here on TheRx had LSU on the ML besides plus the six.

Both LSU and USC last year were a notch above the level exhibited by USC, OU,and Aub thus far, and neither had any business losing the one game apiece that each did last fall.

There is still a month left for a big kick by any of the three, but Aubie's O is ramping up, as is their schedule..a revenge tilt with USC looks appetizing for America's curiosity..East vs West..O vs D..it has it all..but if it winds up a QB vs QB(USC v OU) tilt in Miami, I wouldn't be disappointed either way.

Aubie is more deserving though..imho..even if I do love Stoops for beating Texas as a monster-bet each fall.

LSU lost four or five players to the NFL (two receivers, a DL, a linebacker, am I missing someone?) and an average quarterback not in the NFL
WC Bias,

Matt Mauck is a back-up behind Jake Plummer @ Denver. You are also missing DE Marquise Hill (6'6 305 lber playin g for Belichek in New England), Nickelback Randall Gay (currently starting for Patriots), SS Jack Hunt, OG Steven Peterman, OT Rodney Reed, LB Adrian Mayes and Punter Donnie Jones to go along with the ones you mentioned ( CLayton, Henderson, Lavalais and Alexander)

The point is you should more than likely not speak up about things which you obviously know little about. This type of behavior exposes you as being ignorant and may ruin your already tainted credibility.

Indigo...all five posts of you,

My post indicated that I knew there were others, I was simply pointed out the major stars...Notice I didn't go through every one of USC's losses last year, since they are starting four of five new offensive linemen this year. And BTW, Matt Mauck does not "back up" Jake Plumber, he is on the practice squad.

Nice ghost, whoever you are, you are a major *****. Since this is a betting site and we are talking about credibility...where is yours? I'm hitting 75%...it's posted every week. Why don't you post some in depth analysis this week on some selections...Oh yeah, you already do, just under a different name. I've checked your four other posts...they seem to follow an "LSU" bent. Just so you know, I hate USC.

LSU (#2) winning the "sanctioned" Sugar Bowl (#2 vs #3) will forever be "the" example of why the BCS joke is not that funny.

Both polls had USC "#1" before the Sugar Bowl...

The Coaches Poll was forced into crowning the Sugar Bowl (#2 vs #3) winner... that is a fact.

"The coaches were obligated to crown LSU (13-1) even though USC held the top spot in their poll going into the bowls. Three of the 63 coaches broke the agreement by voting the Trojans No. 1"

"USC is a great team that was robbed of a fully undisputed NC by this sham of a system."

In the AP Poll, where there is no such contract, USC actually added to their 1st-place votes (48 out of 65) after soundly beating #4 Michigan.

LSU was the beneficiary of one of the most controversial (bogus) "rankings" in history. Ironic thread.

About Kansas. Bad calls are a part of the game. Maybe it's a case for replay. But as I watched the replay on TEVO, the guy did push off. Maybe it was "picky." I think if the play was reviewed (if this was a Big 10 game), the call would stand. We'll never know.

All I have to say is that our only loss is to the #2 team. Cal's only loss is to the #1 team. I think both teams are right where they should be.

I am in this argument in another site, but I just couldn't resist to reply to this thread. Also, you guys must quickly forget Ohio State!!??

I love being a longhorn, because not only does a ton of people hate us, but we are at the top in every single sport. We have top 20 teams in all sports. It's great. If we lose the bowl game this year, I will turn around and root for Rick Barnes and the BBall team.

I love it...
