Jarbo,

The sports books tend to inflate the numbers on favorites during playoffs...

So, I don't see any VALUE betting on them....

That makes sense. The books are getting more square action in the playoffs, people who don't ordinarily bet much during the regular season. The books adjust the line away from the favorites knowing that the squares will bet them even with the increased line.

Most guys that middle are broke period

Middling is pure chump change and your lucky if your good to get an ROI of 5%

Chump change

Go put in a cd
LMFAO
That's why you get barrelled in and I own all the barrells.
If you make enough chump change....it's no longer chump change. If the "I' is high enough, a predictable ROI of 5% can be pretty damn good. Just not so good for action junkies who badly want to risk losing.

Maybe middles are no good, but I like sides on key numbers when they are free or cheap.

First game of the season was a good example.

Interesting thought though is since the squares probably had one of their better years, ie. they ain't broke yet, you probably will see a bit more shading to the favorites.

The first person I was ever associated with in gambling, a local back in the 80s said one thing that I and most people who have been around never forget, "If the sucker beats me in week 5, he has a problem. If he beats me in the Super Bowl, I have a problem". His thinking was clear, he never minds losing to suckers at any point before the end of the regular season. He knows they will lose it back eventually. If they actually have enough money to make any kind of sizable wager in the Super Bowl and win, then he is screwed because the guy had a good year and likely will spend all that he wins before September rolls around again.

Shrink your brother in law and I think alike, the due theory is very powerful in sports betting.

This guy is sharp and I would like his thoughts on the forum
