OTOH, in my country, Canada, ID is used as the criterion whether or not a
person may buy alcohol. BTW, it is the law in LOS that everyone must carry
an ID card {or a passport in the case of foreigners} when in public. Of
course many farang do not do so, or just carry a photocopy of the document,
and encounter no problems.
You should visit Singapore some time and visit Orchard Towers. Office building by day, whorehouse by night. About a dozen night clubs in the building all filled with whores. They don't call it "four floors of whores" for nothing.
There is also the Geylang district which is a legalized prostitution area. The brothels have a certain sign outside so you know it's a brothel. It's a lot of walking though since the brothels are dispersed throughout the area.
While you're there, take the 60-minute ferry ride to Batam Island. It's an Indonesian Island but they have over a dozen brothels in the Nagoya Entertainment District (NED). You can bring a girl to your hotel overnight for 250,000 - 350,000 rupiah. That's like $25 - $35 American. All night!
