I'm sorry gameface. I agree with a lot of your political views but you are not seeing the truth here. Ashcroft's abuses are what caused the enemy combatants to get let go. If he would have held them according to the book they would still be in Gitmo. His incompetence let them kill other Americans, not ACLU attorneys. Ashcroft was responsible for people under him who lied under oath and performed searches without probable cause. These were just people off the street aand these were made up charges. We'll agree to disagree. I have very little sympathy for terrorist and child molestors. The left has beat up on Ashcroft from day one before any of the so-called wrong doing. Holding terrorist too long is not wrong doing IMHO. Arresting child molestors is a nobel cause, these leftist would like to make it impossible to go after terrorist and child molestors. Some times people do get arrested when they are innocent, mistakes are made from time to time. Even if Ashcroft made a few mistakes, who doesn't? I really believe Ashcroft was a major player in stopping terrorism here in America the past 3 years. It was not luck that we haven't been hit again. The left will demonize all Republican AGs.
