Limited slate today, with two afternoon games and ANOTHER Washington/Pittsburgh matchup (on Versus). Enough already with this "rivalry". To me, it (WSH/PIT) is not a rivalry. A rivalry is Toronto/Montreal, Islanders/Rangers, Chicago/Detroit, Detroit/Montreal, Edmonton/Calgary, heck...even Philadelphia/Pittsburgh. There needs to be more on the line than a couple of superstars facing off against one another. Ovechkin and the Caps have yet to prove themselves, and until they do, this isn't a rivalry. A rivalry must also sustain over time. In the 90's the Knicks/Bulls was heated, but it is not a rivalry. Yankees/Red Sox, now that is a rivalary. Celtics/Lakers is a rivalry. Bears/Packers is a rivalry. Michigan/Ohio State, rivalry.....Capitals/Penguins....not a rivalry. It is a fabricated rivalry created by the NHL and TV execs.
