I SAW THW THING A HUNDRED TIMES AND YOU SEE ARTEST GO IN THE STANDS. HE NEVER LANDS A PUNCH AND IS HELD BACK, AFTER STAYING AWAY FROM WALLACE ON THE SCORERS TABLE. OK then suspend him whatever for going in the stands, where he never landed a punch, then anything on the court was on the court in a differant category, your fair game you decide to go on the court, the fan was on the court for nothing but to cause trouble.

SO WHAT ONE ACTION IS ARTEST BEING SUSPENDED THE SEASON FOR,

going in the stands and never landing a puch being held back??

JESSE JACKSON COME TO OUR RESCUE. (I heard the fans used racial slurs as bait also.)

There Is a good article by Bob Kravitz on INDYSTAR.COM , where they say this is arguably the ugliest moment in the history of American proffesional sports. David Stern himself states "I've seen in the neighborhood of (20,000) to 25,000 games" "This is the worst one I've ever seen in the NBA. Period."

So, Artest is being suspended for starting one of the worst incidents in NBA history, 5Teamparlay. That is why. Stephen Jackson should also be gone for the entire season for what he did.

Artest and Artest only STARTED this incident. Do not blame Ben Wallace , do not blame the Detroit fans. What the fan did was wrong at the scorers table, but at that point you do not take matters in your own hands. This is where you let security remove the fan and take any legal or diciplinary action against the fan.

What should Stephen Jackson have done. He should have tried to refrain Ron Artest. Not to run into the stands throwing haymakers. Dont try to tell me you have to stick up for "family". When someone in family does wrong you teach and or show them the proper way to conduct themselves. You do not aid and abet them in assulting someone. You DO NOT take matters into your own hands.

There are ways to conduct yourself in this society, there are ways to resolve conflict. The route that the Artests and Jacksons of the world take is not the proper route. And statements like he didn't LAND any punches tells me that there are others out there that just don't get it either.

"irrational pussies"....as Mookie refers to.....

I suppose it's totally rational to storm the crowd and start throwing punches, then totally forget about it because some of those punches missed.

Kinda like letting a sniper go because he was a bad shot, his shots missed, and this assassination attempt failed. Just go home, clean up the rifle, reload, and catch us next time in Ohio. God bless you and take care till then.:103631605

Probably all a moot issue anyway, just wait a month or two and the players will be on strike because 8 million isn't enough to put food on the table.

Fact: RON ARTEST WAS ASSAULTED FIRST FOR DOING NOTHING. That is a fact. It is not illegal for him to go in to the stands and he did not break any laws while in the stands no punches landed.

Before you read too much into the Bob Kravitz article. Bob is not exactly a "fair and balanced" authority when it comes to Ron Artest. He and Ron despise each other. Artest deserves to be held accountable here, but Kravitz is just trying to provoke opinion here.
