EAGLES INACTIVES: QB Thad Lewis, WR Jonathan Krause, WR Seyi Ajirotutu, CB Byron Maxwell, DB Jaylen Watkins, LB Steven Means, OL Tanner Hawkinson. CB Randall Evans, promoted from practice squad yesterday, is active.
Browns inactives include CB Charles Gaines, whose girlfriend went into labor on Sunday. Others: QB Johnny Manziel, WR Marlon Moore, CB Tramon Williams, RB Glenn Winston, Gaines, WR Dwayne Bowe and LB Armonty Bryant.
Sean Lee will be inactive because of hamstring strain. That could cost him a$2 million escalator in his 2016 base salary. He needed to play in 80% of the snaps for the season.
Saints LT Terron Armstead is inactive for Sunday's finale at Atlanta. Armstead has been valiantly fighting through a knee injury for most of the season (playing extremely well throughout). But he'll begin giving it some much-needed rest now. Armstead said this week that he is hoping to avoid further surgery but will have it evaluated after the season. ... Armstead's absence will hurt New Orleans' offense. Veteran Tony Hills will likely replace Armstead today since backup Andrus Peat is also out with a concussion.
The Jets' inactives are RB Bilal Powell (ankle), QB Bryce Petty, G Dakota Dozier, CB Dee Milliner (healthy scratch), S Dion Bailey, LB Taiwan Jones and LB Josh Martin. As expected, RT Breno Giacomini (ankle) and TE Kellen Davis (foot) are active. T Ben Ijalana is active for only the second time -- Giacomini insurance. With Powell down, the Jets will lean on Stevan Ridley to complement Chris Ivory.
The Saints' three healthy inactives today at Atlanta are QB Garrett Grayson, TE RaShaun Allen and DT Kaleb Eulls, in addition to injured OTs Terron Armstead and Andrus Peat, WR Marques Colston and LB Dannell Ellerbe.
Bundle up in Chicago. Soldier Field temperatures will slowly climb from the middle 20s to around 30 degrees at kickoff, according to the AccuWeather forecast. Winds will be out of the northwest at 10-20 mph.
Ohio State safety Tyvis Powell has added his name to the growing list of players leaving the program with eligibility left this offseason. With the redshirt junior making his announcement on Sunday morning, the Buckeyes are up to five starters moving on the NFL already -- with potentially four more decisions still to be made.
Dolphins rookie center Jamil Douglas will make his second career start at center in place of Pro Bowler Mike Pouncey. Douglas will try to make up for last week's early snap that contributed to a loss to the Colts.
