Was at Lidl today. I am always amazed at the final price. Always way lower than I anticipate. Energy drinks BOGO, loaded up! Also, was such in a good mood, Wifey and I thought it was overdue to perform a random act of kindness, so we paid for the girls's groceries in front of us. She looked to be young 20's and it felt great to do it. Not bragging about it or looking for credit, just thought I would pass along. I do not do this sort of thing as much as I should.

I loved Lidl too, and funny you shared this. I paid for a lady who said she hadn’t worked in the last 6 months last time I was in there. It was only $13, but every bit helps, right?!

The time before that, I found a purse in the buggy return, I took a quick glance in it, and saw a billfold and prob $5-1k in cash probably for the holidays inside. I didn’t even have to hesitate to know I was turning it in, I just walked back into the store, saw the Manager and said, “I haven’t been in it, don’t wanna go in it, but I see an ID on the wallet inside, so can you please get it to them...” I didn’t wanna reward or anything, but part of me did want to meet the lady who’s purse I returned to make sure everything was in there that should be, and to just tell her face to face that there really are some great people left in this World...

NJ is eliminating all bags at Supermarkets starting in May 2022. You bring your own bag or bags to a Supermarket or you are out of luck. I have always hated plastic bags at the Supermarket. You can guarantee the groceries will fall out while they are sitting in your trunk if you make a right or left turn. Paper is the best. I understand we have a limited amount of trees but you can recycle paper bags.

I'm not a fan of plastic bags at all but this is quite a drastic measure. Great for the environment cause NJ beaches are littered with these things.

They will still allow those thin produce bags though. I think there will be lots of people taking them to the register for other products

Spending time trying to figure out Liberal logic may truly be the real definition of insanity.
