It has to do with them being so over the top about cultural diversity that they hire minorities over whites with similar qualifications. Which is what has happened to my brother. Most of the jobs applied for are at a university. Vets first if there are any, minorities second, then whites.

You make a good point DSeth, as my previous post mentioned Affirmative Action. I've been directly affected by it one time, about 8 years ago when I got passed over by a candidate with no sales experience because a "quota" needed to be filled. Since then, the state of Michigan has done away with Affirmative Action all together. I work for a $40 Billion dollar world-renowned company, and it happens quite often. FedEx makes their own rules. However, I don't feel it will affect me, since I want to stay in my current position. I'm married to an Asian woman (50%), whose been affected by it before, which is strange. The important thing is....she doesn't care that I gamble, so I can continue tailing on your wagers like SEMO tonight!:lol:
A female point of view, I have never dated a black guy, but not because I am racist. I think too many of you get caught up in the penis size thing. My grandmother bought a black Santa at a clearance sale in Detroit over 30 years ago and its been the family favorite since.

Ma called me when she set up the decorations this year and said the black santa is now kind of looking beige/brown.
It must have been a natural thing reflecting the overall demographic changes since the early 1970s. I dont see black people around here nowadays that are so dark they look blue when the sun is shining.
