Be prepared for a two step appearance process, though it might be possible to resolve it in one.

Most traffic courts these days have the initial court date where the bulk of people plead no contest, are assigned a fine and make arrangements to pay their bill.

At that same date, the judge will advise anyone who wishes to contest their case with a Not Guilty plea that they must return on a subsequent date for trial.

This allows the court to give notice to any officers needed for testimony.

It's also possible that at that first date, when you're in a crowded courtroom that the judge will declare, "Those who want to plead guilty or no contest will have their cases reviewed first. Those of you who wish to plead Not Guilty must wait until we're through with all the others, at which time we will one by one assign you a new court date."

This is a common strategy employed to discourage NotGuilty pleas because many people don't want to sit there for an hour (or two) waiting for all the Guilty/NoContest people to be filtered.

Sure pull them over too....Any shady looking characters no matter what color..... Your licence plate light does'nt work you're getting pulled over thats what I would do if I was a cop...phuck this shit trying to enforce the law with their hands tied....For the poster of the thread I fight all tickets,costs me but I fight every one...Try not to get any though but I live in Ohio where the Police are portable tax collectors...Slow down in Ohio or they'll burn you at the stake...They really work hard for the Insurance companies.

We have descended into a military cop state. Here in Maryland the state police infiltrated peace and environmental and anti-death penalty (whats with that?) groups and succeeded in putting some participants on the federal terrorist watch list. You have to be brain dead to ignore the third-world cop military nation we have become. Here is an example: US props up the Columbian military which this week the UN called out for wing death squad murders. USA has a long history of sending military CIA money and support to a gallows line of blood dictators starting with Pinochet in Chile (this black glove freak oversaw years of broken jaws, torture and death squads). If you are a US citizen and think you can skate on US South America and international war crimes that tally millions, then you might be less comfortable when military welfare money starts to dry and these predators get turned loose on common US citizenry.

I agree with u tho man, just this week I got a DUI out in vegas, from having 2 beers in a 3 hour period, no way i was drunk at all....i was sober as a post....impounded my car, got harrassed by numerous cops...even hit one time by a cop...shits gonna cost me upward of 10k total, with fees getting my car outta impound, lawyer fees, drug and alcohol classes im gonna have to take, gettin my license renewed every yr for being an offender....i spent almost 2 fuckin days in jail for this shit, and my blood alcohol level was exactly a 0.08.i mean the only reason i took the breathalyzer is cuz i knew i wasnt drunk, and it shouldnt show up on the test since i had my last drink 3 hrs prior...0.08 which i know was bullshit, cuz i had my last of 2 beers roughly 3 hrs before i was pulled over....i got scammed by the govt, put in the system deemed a criminal....

we are under a police/military coup.....plain and simple...

I think its mostly a money game now to them. They sit and wait for you. Look how much they made on you. They're making millions by profiling 20 somethings (preferably white) with money and the means to pay borrow from parents exhorbitant fines on bullshit charges using breathalyzers that are fixed to come out with a higher reading.
I hope your friends and relatives believe your story more than the authorities do. They will now direct you to go to an encounter D&A group and "admit" to other group members you have a problem. I dont think they can sign you off unless you do so you have to play their game - make it an academy award performance- practice sobbing. They will offer a group hug and youll be signed off ASAP with your case file stamped- CLASS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED- GL with that...

Between 2:15 - 4:00 AM I was followed by 3 local cops in 2 separate 15 minute trips I made after the club closed. My drives were short but they crossed 2 states and 4 townships. Each cop followed me for at least a mile. None pulled me over though. I don't drink any alcohol after midnight when I DJ.
