I do not believe a bunch of doctors all over the country are inflating death numbers and risking losing their medical license.
They wouldn't be risking their medical license, all they have to do is follow the CDC's extremely (intentionally?) relaxed guidelines for determining COVID as cause of death.
In cases where a definite diagnosis of COVID–19 cannotbe made, but it is suspected or likely (e.g., the circumstancesare compelling within a reasonable degree of certainty), itis acceptable to report COVID–19 on a death certificate
Given the above, and the additional monetary bonus (ahem, reimbursement), you don't think that incentivizes a certain behavior?
