for sake of argument (at first glance I like the Eagles also)...

Boldin is "hopeful" to return

Can Assante Samuel and Sheldon Brown cover these beast like receivers?? In their 1st meeting these CBs did very well against these WR, 3 INT for Warner. However Lincoln Financial Field is not a very warm place to play (especially on Thanksgiving) so Univ of Phoenix stadium should be a nice change for the Cards.

Cardinals win this one straight up. They're playing SUPERB defense and that offense is clicking even without Anquon Boldin. Throw in the fact that they play great football at home AND that they have the revenge factor on their side (the Eagles demolished Arizona 48-20 on Thanksgiving in Philly) and you have me all but sold. In a rather strange and amazing turn of events, the Cardinals playing in the Super Bowl may not be a pipedream after all.

It's going to be tough. Philly's defense is superior to both Carolina's and Atlanta's. Even though Philly is the six seed, this is easily the best team that Arizona will have faced in the playoffs.

Very true. But this will arguably be the best offense the Eagles face all year. Who do you stick Asante Samuel on (assuming Boldin will play and I'm almost 100% sure he will)? It won't matter.

And don't discount the Cardinals defense. They've played the best 2 games of the season so far in the playoffs against two very formidable offenses.

On top of all that, I think most would agree that defeating the Falcons and Panthers is more impressive than defeating the Vikings and Giants.

Don't know about this game. AZ seems pissed off and on a mission to prove all the doubters wrong. I'd probably only play the total if anything.

That doesn't sound right. I meant that the Cardinals have played their 2 best defensive games of the season in the last two weeks.

You're RIGHT ON the money in this one! Even though ARIZONA as been tough at home, Philadephia has a better running game to control the clock - even though ARIZONA's DEFENSE has stepped it up - I believe that PHILADELPHIA is on a MISSION to win the SUPER BOWL , ... take that to DA BANK ! :103631605
Arizona's DBs will allow them to stack the box against the run.

last time they played didn't philly hold zona to like 25 yds rushing. imo if you can't run the ball you don't win championship games. i think the -3 looks fishey but i took it any way. i may be being led to slaughter but i think philly wins this easy.

On paper, i totally agree. Im going to throw away the 48-20 meeting as a great spot for the Eagles. Cards are home where they are good and eagles are not nearly as efficient on the road. I really like how the Eagles Defense is playing now and I think they will win this game but this line is very fishy and I know no matter how sharp i can be at times, ill let vegas influence my thoughts. MGM 3 - 120, if that line doesnt move to 3.5 and pinnacle stays at 3 - 120, there is no way ill bet the Eagles. That being said, I think the Steelers win by 10+ in the other game

dogball - Pinnys up to -124, do you like that or does the game have to move off of three for you to like Philly? Just curious.
I really like AZ and think this line is a bit stinky...

My impressions are as follows.
If pinny and MGM want 3-125 or -30 on Philly, while there are plentiful 3.5's out there, I wont go against them. In my experience, that rule has helped a lot.
Pinny does this with 1 - 25 and 2.5 sometimes but they also move to the 2.5 on sundays. Ill monitor both books as strong guidance here. For sure, if you like Arizona, I would wait till sunday, i wouldnt be surprised to see 4.5 or 5 by then

There is no such thing as a LOCK...

I'm pretty sure Panther's moneyline was a lock for some folks... or whoever, more like everybody who had Panthers in a teaser was a lock (including me)... Guess what... LOSER!!!

Nothing is a lock...

Eagles always show up big in these NFC championship games. What is there to think about?

Aren't they something like 1-3 in the NFC Championship games under McNabb? If so, I would say all they have done is "show up."
