Do you need your passport to set up a neteller in the country you reside in?

If you are interested in opening a foreign Neteller account
there have been numerous threads on this subject recently.
I'd suggest using the search feature here as one means of
finding them.

Re a business opportunity as you described in another
thread, thanks but no thanks, as i am not interested at
this time.

I've been exchanging a number of PM's on this topic so I think it's time to promote it to the main forum. Just wondering what irregularities non-U.S. players might have to report.

Here's what I've got.

Wager Web e-mailed me saying my most recent Neteller payout request couldn't be processed due to Neteller's new policies on transferring funds to or from the United States. They processed my Thursday withdrawal normally but then for Friday's, I got that message. Although I am not in the U.S., and although Neteller is still showing as both a deposit and withdrawal option on the website, when I phoned I was told that I indeed could not withdraw funds that way and that, "Neteller will not be working with any sportsbooks any more."

As far as that blanket statement goes, I would rate my confidence in the source as low. However I feel confident he knew what he was talking about specifically with regard to WW's intentions re Neteller. They do offer payout alternatives (all involving unfortunate currency conversion issues in my case.)

After that disturbing call, I randomly phoned The Greek. They are still processing Neteller transfers as normal for non-U.S. accounts. The person I spoke had no indication that that would change.

Hollywood denied my attempt to deposit via Neteller last week. Neteller is not currently showing as an option for either deposit or withdrawal on the website, and the people I have spoken to have said they are not going to use Neteller - for anyone - any time soon.

BetRoyal tells me they won't be able to pay out by Neteller any more but will still take Neteller deposits from non-U.S. customers. They offer payout alternatives, MoneyGram, Check and bank wire.

An observation here is that the low rated books claim to be
quitting Neteller while a highly rated book still uses them.
Add to that that Pinnacle and Mansion are in the same boat
as Olympic and Bet Jamaica & we see a pattern emerging.

I don't know but I guess so, as well as PayPal Europe, an eBay subsidiary.

eBay is, of course, a US registered corporation.

Regarding WagerWeb - I just phoned them to arrange an alternate payout method and they now tell me I can still use Neteller. Although my Friday payout was cancelled (and the guy I spoke to on the weekend confirmed that WagerWeb would not be using Neteller anymore PERIOD), they took a new 2K request for today.

:+clueless

She said I should have my funds by 3 o'clock so there is nothing to do but wait and see what happens, I guess.
