Mc Afee's OPED released this week nicely illustrated why the US government is hopelessly disadvantaged versus the private cyber community.

Government will not hire computer techs with funny haircuts, multiple piercings and visible ink and who want to smoke weed while working and oh, btw demand a pay rate of $10k per week.

The private cyber community will put these people to work as will most governments outside the USA.

Until our country is no longer led by older (age 60+) white, mostly males whose tech knowledge is reading their AOL email accounts and surfing for rent boys on Grinder, it will remain hopelessly whipped by the rest of the world both within and outside our domestic borders.

I stand with Apple here. It would be one thing if Apple had the info and the FBI just wanted what they had but they want Apple to basically invent a new product that could in fact hurt their company very badly if it ever got into the wrong hands. I don't trust our government with a lemonade stand and you think I'm going to trust them with what amounts to a key to every iphone they have in their possession. It starts off as just this one guys phone, next thing you know some rouge cop is downloading your wife's nudie pics from your phone. (exaggeration there but you get the idea)
Point is one of Apples biggest selling points is that their system is virtually unhackable and virus proof and you want them to voluntarily hack their own system. Umm no thanks.

so what does everyone have to hide thats so top secret? there is probably already backdoors in the programming. If the Asian dude from Craigslist can unlock a phone for $25 I am sure the FBI can too. If anyone went through my phone they would find some good jokes, few screenshots and lots of immature pics.

that's not the point....the point is do you want FBI to have access to your phone whenever you want without you knowing?

If the answer is yes or you dont care then god bless this country because we already have given up most of our rights over the years....can't even make a fuggin bet at pinnacle sports.....what a joke, now they want access to have a universal "key" to unlock any iphone...get the fuck out my face govt lol

now if they want to open a terrorists' phone after committing an "attack" then go ahead, I'm all for it...But for the FBI to ask apple to create a key so they can do what they please? NO THANK YOU

but how can anyone know who a terrorist is until they commit or attempt to commit a violent act...? Don't try and read between the lines here. I am not saying I am for the "unlock key" (which probably already exist) just throwing out questions for conversation.

in other news.

this lawsuit times up nicely with the launch of applepay in china.

will they trust a phone to hold their money?

maybe when the average chinaman hears even the US government can't crack the Iphone they will.

also, apple has helped the feds in other cases get data off of iphones.

the difference here is that the feds are asking apple to do 3 distinct things in this instance.

1 get rid of the auto erase function if someone enters the wrong passcode 10 times
2 get rid of the delay between entering in the passcode if you get it wrong
3. make it so you can hardwire into the phone to enter the passcodes electronically

wtf?

the feds are not asking apple to help them get info off the phone, they are asking apple to create methods that will make it possible to crack any iphone.

Sad thing is, eventually Apple will cave into their scheme in a few years. As the older generations die off, the younger generations will fall right into place with all this BS about obeying all these new laws that pretty much will state you have no rights anymore.

The younger generation born in 2000 & later have been conditioned & programmed to think all this is normal. Gone are the days where people actually gave a f**k about our rights.

Ask any teenager about our rights, etc.....they don't know or give a sh*t........give them all iPods & a cellphone, & the world could be ending & they wouldn't carebbecause they have YouTube & their music downloaded.

So now its coming out that some douche from the government reset the iphone after it was in FBI custody trying to hack into it. Correct me if I'm wrong here but if a password is reset that any info that is on the phone after the last icloud backup is erased off the phone, and obviously its not in the cloud either. Apple said that had they had the phone and took it to a place where the phone recognizes the WIFI, like his home, then they would've been able to go into the cloud and back it up and then access everything.

Long and short is the government fucked up and wants apple to fix their fuck up. I applaud Tim Cook, keep it up.
