if by " tons of humility " , you mean none , i agree...

never heard such a self absorbed speech in my life..

the looks on people's faces in the seats told me all i needed to know.

this thread reminds me of the obama/kids education speech controversy. nbn.

my take is; jordan was being himself. that's the way he's always been, can't figure out why he's supposed to change now. i didn't think abt any of this til i opened this thread. my fav part was where he hinted that he might come out of retirement & start kickin butt again. to me the looks on people's faces in the seats were admiration, the utmost respect, and love.

Maybe the speech wasn't delivered for World Number One's entertainment. Maybe the speech had more to do with an affinity for team mates, the sport, and self reflection as best as he could express it.

ya... all 1 of them he named.. pippen.

he was more into telling us how he schooled bryan russell than thanking anybody.

amazing how he forgot to mention that he pushed russell to the floor before taking that shot.

in reality , i couldnt care less about his speech.. just thought it was more of time to talk family and people who helped him get where he was..

you have your opinion and i have mine.. he did talk about how people were " logs " on the fire . credit for that.

just off the top of my head, jordan thanked his mom, brothers and sisters, kids, dean smith, larry brown, all of carolina, pippen, p jackson, d collins, kevin loughery, reinsdorf, all of his teammates. that's just off the top of my head.

Sounds like somebody is a disgrunted Knicks, Jazz (or fill in the blank 90's NBA team) fan...
