But what about the flag and America? More important than football and stupid black peoples beliefs, right or wrong?

And what about all the veterans who gave their life for the flag? Lmfaooooo :ohno:

what about it ? NFL and the players were pretty much defeated on that issue.. They had to fall in line....We're not seeing the kneeling and demonstrations as we once were... battle won , get back to football

I still wager, but watch about 20% of the time I did about, say, 5 years ago, been tapering down as things get worse.

Why? Kaepernick, other disgraceful hypocritical players, and then those that smear Trump when they are mostly too stupid to understand the issues... they just do as their handlers tell them. And the drugs & domestic violence (we see the tip of the tip of the iceberg, most is covered up and paid off). Sick of watching them celebrate a tackle like idiots in the 4th quarter when they are down 20 points. Announcers (especially ESPN) keep pushing social justice. Now, this business alliance with a scumbag rapper?

Many of my friends from across the USA, all walks of life (who mostly do not wager) stopped watching ANY NFL games, ever, years ago.

Except....there are still players kneeling/protesting....yet you are still watching.

Only difference really is the media coverage isn’t the same. So people finally stopped caring

Lmfaoooo. So tapering down means you are sick of watching them celebrate a tackle down 20? They put in hard work in order to make plays.

Fact is...there hasn’t been a topic in football ever before that has dominated the discussion like this one did.

This is the first summer their hasn’t been hot gossip since before that 2016 season. Never seen anything like it in the years that followed either. Last summer and the summer before last was non stop debate about how they are disrespecting our country and its veterans and how people were done watching.

Would’ve been smarter to boycott the news honestly. Because the veterans who gave their lives to this country died for the right for people like Kaepernick to protest systematic racism/oppression. They died FOR that right believe it or not. So your great grandfather who you think is rolling over in his grave because of this is probably really smiling. Because this is freedom. This is doing what you think is right even if the rest of the country fails to understand. That’s what they gave their lives for.

Well, to be fair, the NFL strike that happened before you were born was a much larger story than this stupid protest.

Wrong. This was arguably the hottest debate at the time in the history of sports, not just football.

All anyone wanted to do on talk radio was talk this. There were some radio hosts who legit refused to talk about it on their shows because it dominated everything.

Absolute bullshit!

Agree, and all anyone had to do was shut off a TV for 2 minutes if they felt they were being trolled. And it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Admittedly, the people that were protesting it had to make sure everyone knew about it 24/7 whether it be this forum or somewhere else (so they're just as bad as the people they were complaining about in their cry for attention). And the poster above was the perfect example of it (even though he got eviscerated in every argument he made on the subject). For those that don't want to watch, don't. No one fucking cares.

And Mob, I know you just felt you wanted to have some fun with this. But why in the world are you getting this nonsense started again? I don't care, but just asking.

The NFL was essentially halted mid-season for 4 games. You weren’t around but it was a big deal.

Imagine having a strike mid-season now with the 24-hour news cycle being what it is.
