No, they dont delete your character if you cancel, everything stays intact. I've taken 4 months off and had my toons exactly the way I left them when I came back.

I do want to give heroic a shot on an instance or two before I completely retire.

i just finally got WoW installed on my desktop... I had to RMA my motherboard cuz the memory banks went bad... so I was playing on my laptop for months. Im pretty geeked about seing how I can finally use my nvidia 7800 graphic card. the frame rate is so much better lol.. I can go into stormwind now and not lag

I've been playing this game since release and it has destroyed my life completely. I already failed a semester in school and about to fail another one.
I don't know what to do, I know I have to quit, I have quited 2-3 times before but in the end I just came back to it. If I'm not online, then I read forum, I check items on thottbot, WOW is constantly on my mind. I guess that what addiction is. I start to think it is not the game but myself. Even if I fight myself not to play, I find myself sitting on the sofa not doing anything even though I know I have to study. I wish I had more will strength to cope with this.

I used to play but quit once I became a father which was right before Naxx came out.

There was just too many people playing the game who take it way too seriously. Eventually you get sucked into that mentality as well. People who say they play hardcore and have a life are full of shit.

I thought so. There are so many people that have full Tier 5 and try to tell the casuals that complain about gear that they have a regular life and play for a few hours a week.

Theres just no F'n way. Most guilds wont even let you raid with them unless you help farm for mats. (which is very time consuming and boring as hell)

I retired my character about 3 weeks ago... the game got to be too time consuming.

I retired a 70 shadow priest, full Tier-4 gear, 2500 gold, and a netherdrake mount...

i wont miss it lol... you can play Warcraft 3 for free on Battle.net
