So we're not allowed to eat at restaurants yet and its Mothers Day.
At 530, we order food online and were told it was a 110 min wait (no biggie). I was going to pick up food. When food was ready, i was to receive a text. However when we submitted the order, we were told the order did NOT go through. We tried to call the place and werent able to get through. We assumed the order never went through
10 min later, we call the same restaurant in the next town over (we live halfway between restaurants) and ordered the same meal and that it would be delivered to us in the next 2 hours. Thats fine. We gave our credit card to pay.
At 645, i was playing PS4 with my son and i got a text that my order was ready. Seems like my order went through then. We then called the 2nd place to cancel the order since it wasnt delivered yet but we were told that it was on its way so we figured no biggie, and will have plenty of leftover. I pick up the food and come home around 715 and the food still was NOT delivered to my house. My wife called the restaurant to tell them that we havent recevied our food yet and wanted to cancel the order. The restaurant said thats fine.
At 830, our doorbell rings, and the place FINALLY delivered our food. We told them we cancelled our order. The driver was fine with it.
We were going to call the restaurant to make sure we werent charged but we heard that they were having a "tough" day dealing with orders (we read a rant or 2 on facebook about it as well). We'll just call tomorrow to make sure we werent charged for our order.
Its a restaurant's busiest day of the year and they are running at half speed, i get it. I'll give them a "pass" as there is worse shit going on at the moment.
Just wonder if anyone else is experiencing a tough dine in or take out experience for mothers day?
