What are the odds on taking the field against smarty?

One of the more worthless stat is that Smarty Jones has never run at Belmont. Still some naysayers.

The only way to play this race is find a decent horse that you think will hit the board, bet 200.00 to show and hope smarty falls down...If he did run out it would be big baloons

i tried that when i was younger and new to the game with lady's secret at 1/9..she bolted and my horse (i think was 4 to 1) paid some crazy amount...i thought the game was easy...little did i know
