Interesting but I kind of doubt it's the same man, I'll go with the deceased theory and hope he still alive and well.
As to Wilhiem ,Wilhelm, whatever a man I have met in person , my best guess is he most likely died as well , old age gets us all in the end, if something else doesn't get you earlier.
I don't recall any interactions with Judge Wapner, but still glad he is well, VD !
