You can get a decent car for that..... I would go for an American truck. Like a Ford Ranger. Get it shipped over from the states if you have any contact over there you can have one shipped down. go to www.autotrader.com and punch in the nearest zip code to your friends to search for cars. Have one of them go down and check it out for you. And then contact some shipping companies and they could help you bring it down here.

I have a 2000 Isuzu Trooper LS, 4x4, 4.2L V6 Gas, Manual, 7 seats, dark blue with grey accents. I might willing to part with it for 15k.
I'm planning on replacing with an automatic 4x4 the wife can drive and a something small (like a new Suzuki Swift) for me to run around in. I wouldn't sell the Troop except the wife doesn't want to learn a manual shift.

If the auction firm is correct, the vehicles will be on display from just two hours, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday. The vehicles will be in the fenced parking lot across the Pavas bouevard from the main embassy building.
In the past, embassy workers have said they don't really care how much they get for the good they auction because the money goes into the general fund of the U.S. Treasury and is not earmarked for future use at the embassy.
The embassy has stopped its periodic auctions of furniture and other surplus items and consigned anything it no longer needs to Rematico.
