We, some of the offshift dealers and I used to have a route on the Odyssey multi's and other bank machines. Especially after weekends and holidays. We would just walk the route, checking them all. I got all of the extra stuff, more comps, free slot play and meals as perks. I even asked for extra cards, and put them in other slots surrounding me, if someone pulled card, I would act innocent, ooops I am sorry. Had a huge stack, maybe 25 cards. One lady earned me $350 in free cash back on a couple $1. Wheel of Fortunes, while I was eating a free comped lunch. I guess it was a form of mining but they let it go. No harm no foul. But once the tweekers got involved, the crankster gangster act got all of us heat, and most of the machines removed, so the route was not worth walking. They would vulture, jump slots when people were changing or restroom breaks. And they were always fidgeting, tweeking around regular customers. Once those undesirables got a hold of the money to supply the fix, the show was over. Stupid tweekers.

As far as banking the BJ. It was so lucrative the only thing that restricted you was bankroll and table coverage. There were times, most nights, my entire crew made money. I had hand signals, time or win stops. I knew how much the entire crew was up within a few hundred always. Although I kept on the nick minimum tables mostly, I would jump up to quarters when a drunk or lousy player headed there. Sort of like follow the fish. You never saw worse players anywhere, they could not win. And they just kept coming back for more. And endless supply of Barnum Minutemen. To be honest, I only earned what I limited myself to earning. Probably left a lot of profits on the tables before they scrapped it.
