God is all right in my books.
He gives my nation all the wealth and riches to squander. Thanks God for ****ing over half the planet in the name of the US... you're the God.

Don't forget which Christian nation hands out the most foreign aid than any other nation in the world.

Patriot....this would be more in response to your post on the end of page one....

....people pray to God when they are in dire need of something good to happen....

....conversely when lightning strikes thier house and the house and it's entire contents burn to the ground.....instead of claiming faith to such a "loving" God.....please curse him out and give God some credit where credit is due....

Parson's tagline basically sums up a life quest, turned into a "wager" not worth the ticket it was written on

If God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and whatever other "omni" adjectives make your day, then maybe, just maybe he's capable of taking "genuinity" into the equation ...

afterall, pascal's wager is nothing by a pretty lie aimed at duping God ..

do you think God likes being duped?

You know what else I like about God... famine, pestilence, natural disasters, drought and most of all Mormons. I love those pesky Mormons.

God loves the nonbelievers, the skeptics and the heretics the best. He spent a lot of time inventing the brain, and it is very rewarding to Him,when people actually use them.

The other day I was asking for God's help and he came through for me. I was sitting at the bus stop waiting patiently for my tardy bus, knowing I was going to be late for work again, when I muttered under my breath, "god damn you bus." Right then, the bus appeared around the corner.... talk about devine intervention.

We need to believe in something.A higher being and the notion that all of mankind is intertwined works for me.

Which one is that? The Vatican? I know the secular USA has a very good record with regards to foreign aid. Is there a Christian nation which tops us?

Meh, so what. I'm sure 90% of Iraq is probably Muslim and that doesn't make it a Muslim nation. (well, at least not under Saddam, I guess its a matter of time to see what they pick now)

A nation that has "In God we trust" printed on the front of their currency seems pretty secular to me.

The separation of Church and State protects religions from state corruption as much as it protects states from religious corruption. There are plenty of ministers upset with the current administration's efforts to include god in their mandate as there are citizens.

At any rate, if being a nonbeliever means I'm going to hell, then so be it. Most of my friends and family will be joining me there ... I can't imagine spending eternity with the likes of Bill Graham and Tammy Faye-Baker anyway.
