anyone ever stayed at The Linq in Vegas?

We ate at hash house last time we were in town...and I think they actually opened one of those up here in the metroplex.

I'll probably stay here because i'm saving like $800 for 3 night stay...and i'm paying for the trip for my brother and wife as they have never been...that's the reason for trying to get a decent location on the strip.
My first trip to vegas...we drove like 20 hours for two nights...stayed at the freakin KLONDIKE for $30 the first night....and then paid over $300 for the hard rock the next...back around 2001.
I might have thought about staying downtown I suppose were it just the wife and I...i've probably been to vegas 10 times, and my losses tend to get well into the 4 digits almost every time. Not to mention the time I put $1200 on my Amex at Spearmint when I was still in college. wtf

We are going to be in the book all day Sunday...so if anyone has any other book recommendations down towards that end of the strip for easy drinks (hopefully some type of craft beer) i'm all ears. thx

The book at the Linq is OK. I actually like it. Smaller and intimate, and has nice new screens. Seats are comfortable and there is not a bad seat in there.

They have been very generous with the drink tickets when I was there. Don't make all your bets at once. If you spread your trips up to the counter, they will give you a ticket or 2 every time you bet $50-$100. You can actually take them up to the bar that is fairly and order whatever you want from the bartender.
