Anyone ever have the tonsils out as an adult?

I made it through, back home now. It hurts but the pain's pretty similar to when I get strep throat, but I get step really really bad. Now just waiting on my wife to bring home my meds. I getting liquid vicodin. Told her to bring some baby food that has substance, I can't enjoy vicoden as much on a completely empty stomach. My jaw hurts pretty bad too. I'm still a little loopy from the the anesthesia, felt like I was gonna barf on the car ride home.

Had mine taken out in 1st grade. Only thing I remember is counting backwards from 10 lol

Watch a youtube video of the procesure. youll see why ur jaw is sore. its held wide open for a long time.

Just had my post op check up. Still in pain but nothing like the first three days. Last night was my first night sleeping a full night sleep. Was 205lbs now I'm 190lbs. Now I just have to wait for the scabs to fall off. No more liquid vicodin, but now I have percocets, which I've never had before.

vicodin and percocet both contain narcotics; hydrocodone and oxycodone respectively. They both contain tylenol. Percocets are stronger. Not sure why they prescribed a stronger narcotic- perhaps its at the low end of the dosage scale? or perhaps it's to decrease risk of addiction- vicodin is more addictive. what is the dosage of the percocet? 5/325?

Yeah 5/325. They asked me what has worked for me in the past last time.
