FWIW, I will take the points.

Game Notes: The first big game in the SEC has two East Division combatants meeting head to head. Georgia has been bitten by the injury bug, yet seems ready made for this situation with 21-4 and 15-10 ATS record in true SEC road games since Mark Richt settled in Athens. South Carolina victimized by Vanderbilt 24-17, as mistakes took their toll. The Gamecocks are 5-1-1 ATS after Vandy. The visitor is 5-2 ATS in this series, with South Carolina off 16-12 upset last year on the road. The favorite is 7-4 against the number, with five of the last seven games being decided by six or fewer points. Bulldogs have won and covered 3 straight in Columbia.

All games in this series since 1992
S CAROLINA is 8-7 against the spread versus GEORGIA since 1992
GEORGIA is 11-5 straight up against S CAROLINA since 1992
11 of 13 games in this series have gone UNDER THE TOTAL since 1992

Play Against - A road team (GEORGIA) - after gaining 450 or more total yards in 2 consecutive games, with 8 or more offensive starters including the QB returning, in the first month of the season.
(25-5 since 1992.) (83.3%, +19.5 units. Rating = 3*)

The situation's record this season is: (0-0).
Over the last 3 seasons the situation's record is: (6-0).
Over the last 5 seasons the situation's record is: (10-0).
Over the last 10 seasons the situation's record is: (14-2).

I dont touch Georgia, but this is should be a great spot for them. South Carolina has NO offense. They are pathetic. Sure, their defense is good, but in order to cover this spread, they are gonna have to score points. Not likely.

South Carolina did NOTHING against Vandy on offense and virtually nothing against North Carolina for a whole half. They came alive in the 2nd half and ran up the score a little to make it look decent vs NC.

Georgia's defense is TONS better than either Vandy or NC, I don't think SC scores more than 10 pts in this game. South Carolina is the best defense Georgia has seen this season but I don't see them holding Georgia under 3 TD's. I have this one going down as 28-10

To all these guys that say it's a gift... Do you really think Vegas will give those away?

You guys gotta use your brain. The line is low for a reason. Bet you didn't realize that 90% of the public is on your so-called "Bulldawgs".
Good luck to you Georgia bettors on covering.

vegas gives plenty of gifts away. it doesnt mean they dont know what theyre doing. the pseudo-sharps who think up is down and down is up will mindfu.ck themselves into next week. the reality is the line is low because its very tough to win by DD on the road in the sec. doesnt mean georgia cant or wont. personally, i think usc hangs close and challenges for an outright win. but if this one is 34-13 georgia nobody should be surprised by the line.

Whilst I certainly wouldn't call myself "public" (I've been doing this way...way too long), Im not going to say Im some sharp either. I do know two things though: 1) There’s no such thing as a lock.....and 2) UGA will win this by 14+. Why? Well, Ive watched (closely) both USC games and know just about all there is to know about UGA. UGA has far superior talent on both sides of the ball....UGA is playing under a "new attitude" Mark Richt........UGA has both revenge AND and Nat.Championship aspirations in their mindset. They will not take Stafford or Knowshon out of this game (no matter how late). And the Spurrier curse or intimidation or whatever you wanna call it, that UGA has suffered in the past, is a joke.

UGA makes a statement. Makes it big. UGA by 14+:103631605

BTW- Fadethepublic; Vegas DOES gives us "gifts"......all the time.....but then again, so does luck!

as hard as it may be to comprehend, its possible that the better team just might win (and cover).

They think that because SC got lucky last year and that this is historically a close game the same will happen and SC has a shot.. Well anything can happen but the most likely out come is UGA wins and it won't be close.. Make whatever excuses you want. SC lost talent on the defense and their offense won't score easily on UGA..

I think UGA is the easy win and the under most likely but they might set that to low to take.

gift? not even close. the reason sc played so poorly against vandy was they were looking ahead to this game. playing one of the besrt defenses in the country on their home turf is the worst gift anyone can ever give someone. look for a south carolina upset

As a Gator I follow both of these teams quite closely. I've also watched both games from both teams this year.

UGA will punish the Cocks on both lines and USCe just doesnt have enough playmakers at WR to challenge UGA this year. This year's UGA team is deeper on O and better at executing. Moving Bobo to OC was a good move by Richt.

The Gamecocks are supposedly good on defense, but I saw Vanderbilt trash them in every way. Were the Cocks looking ahead? Possibly, and normally I would say yes, but not this year. Remember that Vandy beat the Cocks last year as well.

I think UGA steamrolls the Cocks this year in an effort to further themselves from the close games of the past. I'm taking UGA -7 and loving it. Dawgs by 20.

I disagree. They were not overlooking a team that beat them at home last year. They have also struggled to find cohesion on the O side of the ball. There was no look ahead at all IMO.

may not have been a look ahead game, but you can't tell me Georgia isn't a bigger game than Vandy was? Being an athlete things like this are huge. Should be more focused, fans should be drunker and rowdyer, and most importantly S.Carolina as a team should be playing with more emotion. You can't honestly tell me you get up the same for last place Vanderbilt as you do preseason #1 in the country Georgia.

For South Carolina, every SEC game is a big game.

I too am an athlete and was a 4 year letter in the sport I chose to play in college, so I fully understand competition. It still doesn't cover the fact that the Cocks have to win the games in front of them. You look over teams you steamroll on a regular basis, not teams that handed you a home loss the previous year.

FWIW - Spurs is playing 2 QBs this week and multiple new wrs.

This only solidfies the play IMO.

i guess w'll agree to disagree on that matter. However to make things worse laying the wood on the road, espcially in conference play is a recipe for disaster and that can't be disputed

Not sure if the fans will be 'drunker' for this one.... but if a night game, all alone-on-national-TV, in a conference/divisional matchup (against a team that embarrassed you at home a year before) isn't a reason for fans to get 'rowdy' and SCAR to get emotional...then a 3:30 matchup on a regionally covered CBS game isn’t going to help their cause. Maybe SCAR just sucks? Maybe Vegas is going on 10 years of trends and ignoring what’s in front of them.

You sell VANDY a little short and give UGA nothing....big mistake IMO.
