Probably more like 3 or 4

No, chemistry is their problem. What was their strength in last year's playoffs is their weakness this year. That plus they can't throw it in the ocean right now. Missed at least 15 shots Monday that weren't even defended, including three 3's on one possession alone.

Irving, Brown, Tatum, Big Al, Haywood are is deep as it gets. Although Haywood isn't close to being 100% yet. Morris and Smart add great depth, and I love Brad Stevens

Something has to change, chemistry is far too important

Rough playoffs for Kyrie Marbury, wasn't even very good vs Indiana....He got overrated being LeBron's sidekick and hitting 1 of the most iconic shots in NBA history but still the situation in Boston was setup so perfectly for him to succeed. If Isiah Thomas could crush in the Celts offense then it seemed like Kyrie had a chance to take it to the next level. Just isn't good enough to be a high usage #1 option if the East is gonna be much better than it has been.

Sucks on D, stops the ball, takes high degree of difficulty shots.

And that doesn't even get into the intangible stuff, which tend to get overrated, but in his case are pretty legitimate drawbacks.

I'm thinking the same thing Patsfan, and making the same player comparison too. Some cross between Starbury & Melo.

But I trust whatever Ainge and Steven's decide. They know the situation better than we do, and they're both good at what they do.

People only remember how well IT scored but ignore how well the ball moved. IT was such a good creator for them. Also his ability to get to the line 8+ times per game really sets an anchor for the offense and prevents them from getting into deep lulls.

He wasn't long for the team either though. Played great but he was in the ideal spot, surrounded by a very good pick and roll big in Horford and guys that could hit some 3's (Bradley, Crowder, Smart) and ran through brick walls to cover all of his deficiencies on D. It was a team that was more than the sum of its parts but you're dealing him for Kyrie all day and I don't even like Kyrie much.

Also, the Celts weren't beating teams of the caliber of the 2019 Bucks back then either. The East just got better.

They just gotta try to swing Tatum/picks for AD now probably. Then re-sign Kyrie and if it doesn't work you can trade him, better than losing him for nothing. I'd rather have Brown than Tatum on a team where it is more of a roleplayer/secondary role since he is a lot better defender than Tatum.

I loved IT, i wish he received the payday he deserved. I was sad to see him go, but I agree with Patsfan you had to make that trade for Kyrie

PS: the ball movement was pretty good last year too :)

Mods, how long is Vitterd going to be able to post as this ghost?

Zit, I don't acre what losers and ghosts think, please don't give them attention in my threads.

1) count your blessings, you're not him

2) people make their own decisions, you and I both know where he stands

Really thought I was toast after game 1. Should be an exciting second half.

I committed the cardinal sin, started this thread in the main forum. I should know better, the main forum curse. :)

Congrats, and if you're a Bucks fan, enjoy the ride.
