If you want to bypass eBay and do a direct deal I can cut you a little deal but that price factored in: 1) what it cost retail 2) Michigan sales tax 3) what it costs to list the phones 4) Ebay fees for the sale 5) Paypal fees on roughly $500 and last but not least 6) shipping.

When you break it all down there is a little less than $50 profit in each sale. But like I said, I can cut you a little off if we skip the eBay part.

FYI I also have a couple 16gb phones left if you are interested in one of those. That is what I use. If you have more than 2000 songs in iTunes you really need the 16gb.

BTW AU DUDE, there isn't a "new" phone coming out. Same phone but it will work on a 3g network. Which is you aren't an ATT subscriber doesn't do you any good anyway

Am I correct in thinking that you can use ZiPhone to unlock ANY iPhone currently available to buy, with a minimum of tinkering? It seems quite easy and if what I read is correct it will work on any version...no?

Do you use some other method, or do you have to make sure you get an iPhone with a particular software version?

You can use the phone on any network that still uses SIM cards as a phone, to use the internet enabled features you either need a carrier that is on a GSM network or be some place where there is WIFI.

Johhny Detroit broke his phone about 1.5 hours after he got it and talked the clerk into a replacement. If you are as charming as him you may be able to do the same. If you aren't expect to shell out about $200 for a fix

This is an EASY process to unlock your phone.
I do this all the time for friends and coworkers. If you have ANY computer sense, and you can read instructions you can do this EASILY.

There is no need to pay people to do this, or buy hacked phones off Ebay.

The cracking/hacking community has really perfected the art of "jailbreaking" and "unlocking" the iPhone.

When new updates come out, it takes them no time to update their software...You should NOT update your firmware version until there is a proper fix released.

you can buy a new iPhone off of ebay for around $420 that has been "unlocked" for use on any GSM network, currently in the US AT&T or Tmobile only.

I have a T-mobile tower 200 yards away and get great service so I want to stay with them. I barely get an At&T signal at home

I know it is possible, estimates say 400,000 hacked iphones are in use in China alone

I've heard all the shit about apple turning hacked phones into bricks making them unusable, but apparantly that has now been circumvented

$350 for the 16gb. I took mine into the APPLE store and they guy felt bad I was an idiot and broke the screen less than a day after owning it. The glass screen is to get that amazing clarity the phone has for web sites, photos etc.

Like I told Cash, get a case if you own an IPHONE.

All phones can be unlocked....got a guy across the street from me that will do it for $50...he is a tmobile reseller. I had the iphone on tmobile but couldn't get all the functions to work. Cant download apps from the at&t website, internet wasn't that great. I just went back to my sidekick since I get a great deal on the sidekick plan. Unlimited Data for $20
