Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe major league baseball does not test for human growth hormone. I't's likely he and the rest of the players are on that.

he is probably using some sort of undetectable steroid or performance enhancer. soon he will be exposed.

and you cant really blame this quoted post because of the joke MLB has turned into.

MLB is the only sport where the quoted extreme take can be understood because they do nothing to help there own cause.

OMT - I definitely do not doubt it, actually sort of believe it. Sure he has never tested positive, but you still can't test for HGH. Whoever is still getting busted today is just plain stupid. Why do something that is identifiable, when you can easily take HGH, for what accounts works better, and cannot be detected. As for Puljos his size makes me very skeptical. You just don't get that big without some sort of "aid". I just think he is smart and using HGH.

Pujols has said many times that you can't fool God. God sees everything, and eventually, all things will come to light and be exposed. And he's right. People like A-Rod had to look at themselves in the mirror and know that they were a fraud, even when they thought they had everyone fooled. As an outspoken Christian with a ministry foundation in his name, he would look awfully foolish if it were to come out that he had used.

I think it's unfortunate that the better you perform, the more scrutiny you get. The fact that people think you might be juicing because they think your thighs and head look bigger on tv.........you can't win against those people, because you can't prove that you're clean.

I'm not saying that Albert Pujols has juiced or not, but it's not terribly unusual for outspoken Christians to be exposed as hypocrites.

I'm pretty confident that he's not juicing now, but I would just say I would not be shocked if he had in the past. I really hope he didn't though because it would diminish what could end up as the career of the best hitter of all time. Juice or not, he is the best hitter of the last decade without any argument whatsoever.

Do his numbers look like juice numbers to you? Has there ever been any sort of change in his numbers? Have you ever seen him get a cheap home run?

Oh, but his thighs look bigger.

Again, not saying he did, but he could have started juicing in high school, college and/or minors. He was drafted in 1999 around the time when the juice was flying all over the place. If he didn't, it's too bad that his name is inevitably linked to speculation, among many others.

For a start, they should just release the 2003 list already and get it out.

Yes, I agree that the list should be released. I am obviously a fan, but I really don't think he juiced. I knew McGwire did, as soon as we all figured out that juice was in baseball. But I don't think Albert's game looks like juice to me. He's just been the best and most consistent hitter in baseball from the moment he stepped to the plate on opening day 2001.

There are athletes in every sport who use drugs. Short of a failed drug test admission, conviction or some of the good evidence journalists bring forward it is impossible to know who is on them and who is not. Playing the steroid guessing game is always stupid

Pujols has passed drug tests for six years. Other than being a good athlete, what evidence is there?

This is an argument that he hasn't taken roids?

So along the same lines, a man of the cloth would never molest a child.

Not really an argument, just saying that I believe what I observe with him. He's been asked many times if he has used, and his answer is always the same. "No, I haven't used, and no I wouldn't use, because even if I got away with it for awhile, God still knows the truth. Everything will be exposed for what it is, whether in this life or the next." I'm paraphrasing, but that's pretty much what he has said.

I'm not putting him on a pedestal or saying he's perfect by any means. But I do believe he is a high character guy, and is genuine. Most people don't have character. Most people would do anything they could get away with, as long as there was something to gain. High character people would walk past a pickup truck with 1 million in cash sitting on the front seat of an unlocked door, and not steal the money. Many, if not most people, would steal it, and don't understand how someone could do the right thing with nothing to gain.

Nobody is going to know for sure if Pujols has ever used. You can't prove a negative, and some people will always refuse to accept that he's clean. But his name has never come up in any accusations, it's all just speculation from afar because of how good he is. There isn't a shred of evidence to suggest that he's ever done anything wrong.

If he were juicing (and I believe he is) there would be no change in his numbers because he started his career right in the middle of the steroid era, unlike others who started beforehand.

I'd bet anything this guy is on some sort of performance enhancing substance. No doubt in my mind.

the people here that label him a juicer because he mashes the ball and is a big guy is exactly the frustaration he talks about dealing with in that SI article. I didn't know anything about the guy before 2 months ago, and although we never know for sure, I can honestly say I don't think he's done anything after reading that article. I recommend looking it up online and having a quick read. The guy has been faithful, honest his whole life, is a true dedicated Christian, and big and mashing balls since he was like 14. He put up huge numbers in college and teams still kind of shyed away from him, ending up drafted in 13th round. If he's been doing steroids since he was like 13 to get that big I'm pretty sure we'd see his body breaking down quite a bit by now and having constant injuries. I may eat my words one day, but pretty sure he isn't on anything.
