I'm currently a server at a Ruby Tuesday near Tampa, Florida. First of all, it's my first experience in the industry and it has truely been eye-opening. But not for the reasons sited in the 20/20 report. Granted, I worked last night and didn't see the report, but if someone sends food back, the entire item is re-cooked. We have at least three mangers on duty all the time and one is in the kitchen. Also when we (servers) bus a table, all items must be taken back to the washing area, even those not used, like a table service with the napkin still wrapped around it or even unused to-go boxes at tables must be thrown out. I haven't seen "Waiting", but I heard it's very funny.
