Thanks Bluefish and the Wildman. It was a great run for the A's to get here as there was plenty of money to be made.Seattle scored more runs then the A's and so did Buston. So what? Mulder? Who cares? The price of the of thwe series is sow LOW that the books are begging for BUSTON money. With a 5 game series and Martinez pitching 2 of them, how can the most over-rated team in the HISTORY of baseball only be 1.45 over a team that has no hitting and can't score.

Blue, for the most part of your input out here, you don't show me squat!Anybody that had Seattle should get a refund.

Any Bluefish, this thread is around in October thanks for your insight about the game.

If Oakland is a dead number, then the rest of the teams in the American league must be powerhouses.

Just playing Oakland in every game until they are beat.

Facing Pedro twice and having the best hitting team in history, a little scary.

Tomone, what is so scary when Pedro is always 2-1 or higher on the road.It is a nice trap bet for tonight.Chalk players should be diving in right about now.

I am betting a dime at +1.43 tonight on a hot pitcher that has a last name called Hudson.

Bozzi, woof woof! Very nice how the Mittens got beat last nite. With the squeeze late in the morning 2:45 east coast time and the Red Sox on the losing end, how can they be pumped for more toture today in the afternoon. If the Mittens would have won, then I say the Mittens can win game 2.But after a victory by the A's, how can you like the Mittens with hang over.

Gotta come right back with the A's in game 2.

How was the bullpen with Foulke being used for about 3 innings?

Can the A's be a dog today too with Zito up?

Zito has been inconsistent this year. Although since Mulder has gone down both he and Lilly have step up big time. Our bullpen is not that deep. I'm thinking Zito will try to put in about 7 innings or more tonite to give the pen a much needed rest. I think Lilly should surprise alot of folks. Look at his stat the last month or so, he has been on fire.

Yeah captain, 2-0 game lead would be huge....i dont think pen should be a concern....if zito goes let's say 7 innings you got bradford coming in for one and mecir closing it out...not too shabby!

Bozzi this fricken series was and is easy. The clown Blue Edwards said this team is chokers. This is not the same team that got beat the last 3 series in prior years. No pressure as they are and is the DOG play in series.Bozzi I put my brass balls on the table and bet 2 dimes today on Oakland -1.30.What the hell, last nites game was the back breaker for the BIGGEST CHOKE TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF baseball. If the honor students get beat today I lose less than 1,200 dollars. If they win just a extra nickel or dime to bet in the cold ban box when they are a nice dog in game 3.

Woof woof woof. How did you like the squeeze. The dork Lowe looked like he saw his wife giving head to a stranger.Ha ha Boston thanks for participating this year.

It will be Lilly against Lowe...a's will be a nice doggie in that one and will have a better then average chance of sweeping this baby!

Bozzi, you have to be kidding me.A big dog? The dork is on the mound. How sweet it is.

The powerful Redsox put up a lousy 6 runs in 18 innings.Very nice. How 'bout those A's and the bullpen? Alot of confidence rolling into a depressing town called Boston. What a way to end their season in their little band box.Let's get 'em again!

Should we grab the Oakland A's +1.70 in game 3.I can't believe they are a huge dog to a team that is nothing exciting..Should I sit and take my money from the 1st 2 games or stretch this into a 3 game sweepAtleast Atlanta goes down with a fight year in and year out. What does Boston do? Just the Hype!

Oakland advancing to the next series. Not bad for a team that scored less than 70 runs to Seattle. What a pen the honor students have. They do,write good.

Well, I really did not think I was going to see game 5 in this series. But heck it aint over until the old lady screams.Tough move here, I made money in the first 2 games.Ended up betting Oakland for a nickel in game 3.I passed yesterday as the Honor Students gave this game away.I do have 6-1 on this team to win the pennant. The A's don't owe me anything. But now last game and the A's have to beat or win a game twice in less than a week vs. Martinez.Do I bet anybody?, or just sit and hope I get the Yankees in acouple of days?
Should Pedro be this high tonight-- 1.55?

I think we finally get it done tonight, Zito will be ready tonight, the fact that Pedro had 130 pitches the other night and that he was warming up for game 3 will hurt him I think..Chavez will have a huge game tonight in my opinion....he finally broke through yesterday with that double and that will wake him up....hard to lose 4 years in a row in game 5......about to go to the game and greet Zito after the game.

captain, i just saw this thread now as i have not been in the baseball forum for some time. well, the mariners clearly did fold up like a cheap tent (as did my white sox) and the a's played well down the stretch again this year. however, your initial comment on how the a's should be the odds on favorite to win the a.l. pennant is laughable...even if they win it.

i hope you have hedged you bets because i think pedro gets it done tonight.

good luck, love blue
