GL Syklone. Please keep us posted.

I'm thinking of getting this done myself, but the whole process scares the crap out of me.

Many of my friends have had this done-and no one has complained yet. I have around 20/450 vision. This is definately on the to do list, but I keep thinking about being that "one guy who got Lasik." The laser burned his eyes out type stuff. Someone is due for a bad op.

Got my contact "bandages" out on Friday. My left eye is great, but my right eye seems to be taking longer to correct. I have another follow-up this Friday, so I am curious as to the progress.

Its pretty annoying to read, watch TV, drive, etc. when one eye is out of focus.

They tell me that all is normal, but I think I will need to get the right eye done again. This is no way makes me happy. However, If the right eye catches up then I will be very pleased with the results.

I will check back in after my follow-up on Friday.

Here's the latest. At my two week follow-up my vivion continues to improve. Left eye is great, but right eye is healing slower than I would like. They tell me not to be concerned and that it is still fairly normal.

I am scheduled for another follow-up in two weeks. Both eyes improved over the previous week, so I hope they will continue to sharpen.

Just want those of you looking at having this type of lasik done that the recovery time is not nearly as quick as traditional lasik. I was unable to drive for 5-6 days, and I still have trouble focusing in areas with a lot of open space.

If anybody wants specifics about the process, or the process I am still going through, please ask. Knowledge is king, especially when it involves something like your eyes.

One month follow up and my vision is 20/20. Its still a little fuzzy at times, but it should get sharper over the next few weeks.

Before the surgery I had a tough time with dry eyes, and that made them look a little bloodshot. Now my eyes have cleared, and the dry eyes are significantly better.

I highly recommend the epi-lasik procedure, but you will have a couple of extra days of down time.

What is you update 6 months later? Also someone mentioned that this surgery causes a halo around lights with night driving. Is this true?

After 6+ months I have zero complaints. The halo effect depends on the size of your iris. If they are large, then the area for correction is much larger, which can cause the egdes to not fully correct, causing a small halo at night. Mine has corrected and very minimal. No worse than it was with my contacts.

Best money I have ever spent. It's been almost 2 years (in Feb '08) and I have zero complaints.

LASIK was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. Some say that is quite expensive but its well worth it. The procedure really changed my vision into much better as I expected, and I will bring the benefits of it for the rest of my life, so price shouldn’t be the major determining factor in vision correction. Im 37 year’s old and very outgoing person I always into extreme sports and last year the illness of my eyes became a major factor that I relinquish in my field of interest. Its kinda disturbing wearing eye glasses or contacts when I do climbing or biking. Good thing ,my friend recommend me the my2020 with their financing deals for my lasik surgery, now I’m back in my passion which is climbing and biking. Dr. Stephen B. Wiles my surgeon is so informative and has such a calm demeanor; he put me at ease even though I was nervous about the procedure. He went through all of the steps involved in the treatment so that I knew exactly what to expect. I appreciate everything he has done to make my vision what it is today. I can now see 20/20 with no help and do the things that im into before. I feel like Im back in my teen’s life right now. I look great without having a thick glasses and I feel good of it.
