Aloha PPeter, I am leaning also to Houston. Right now at Carib the line is Even. After opening at -4, I have to now wonder why, and I hate guessing, cause thats what your gonna do to try an understand this drastic line movement. Some people will say its sharps others will say its the Public. Who the hell knows except the books and those affiliated with the sharps. So I am just going with the fact that I think the books ****ed up on the number, and moved the line to where it probably should have been to start and thats around -1 to-2. Now its down to even. I think that it will go back up to -1 by game time. What do you think caused this line movement. By the way, I still think Houston has enough to win, but need more analysis and more angles to establish amount to play on them.

NEWPORT will playing HOUSTON....I do not understand the line move, this morning 5 dimes has it down to -1. Is this game televised nationally?

Houston is much better than this team, and I think the home field can be the only thing moving this line and lines makers want to split the pot for the house on this game. If they stay at -3, you wouldget publicmoney more on Houston. You make it a close to pickem affair, and the house has a better chance of evening out the wagers.

One stat revealing to me, and I understand, ECU has played better opponents, but ECU has scored only 29 points total in 4 games. That should improve here, but still offense in a major funk. Houston gets 6-7 wins, they Bowl.....ECU is on vacation in about 8 weeks

Television I am suspecting no

Houston -1 50* over 54 50*

There have been several games in both college and pro recently where the line has been at, or near, -3 for the fave and the game was a blowout. Is it possible the books are moving this line toward EVEN to get bettors to second-guess their bet on Houston? Houston must be bet on by a large percentage of bettors. Are the books wanting to get more action on ECU by moving this line like this?

I'm sticking with my original bet on Houston.

What is it you like about the OVER here Newport? I know ECU has not been stopping the run but is there something about Houston that causes you to like this as well?

I am acutually placing equal bets to match out the Houston play. If my memory serves me well Houston has a lot of play action pass, and Cinncy ate ECU up with play action and then running draws. I was seeing Houson putting up 34 and ECU getting 24. This only because this is the first game where ECU should put up more than their 7.25 a game average in the prior 4 games. GL If they only score 17 or under....the over could be in jeopardy

That goofy ass offense Houston runs will go up and down the field, imo.. ECU in the same boat as everyone else playing Houston, having to dig up old high school film (new coach, oc, qb, etc..).UMich had no problem due to superior players, but ECU too soft against the run, setting up Houston for nice plays in the passing game. I'm going with Houston -1 @-107.. Leaning towards the under, and ECU team under..gl..
